Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

People from the Eliwan race have been able to summon wonderful creatures to life from their dreams since before anyone could remember. But these magi have also been plagued by Agram, an evil ruler long ago trapped by the forefathers in the core of the moon, and who unleashes nightmarish creatures on the peaceful Eliwan. You play the part of Tony Jones, a stranger to the land and whose destiny is to confront the evil that lives below.

In the fantasy role-playing game Magi Nation, you'll use the mineral-based magic of the Eliwan to battle Agram's fierce monsters. You'll explore colorful, otherworldly landscapes as you journey through to the game's conclusion.

5.0 out of 5 stars You can't stop playing..., April 6, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Magi-Nation (Game Cartridge)
It's amazing how this game just draws you in. It's more puzzling and deeper than you'd ever think. Your creatures are much meaner (and definetly NOT cute, which I like), much stronger, and some (like hyrens) just dominate the rest, even if they're mighty hard to create a ring for. You can even bring a creature back multiple times, even if it's destroyed. You only need to fight when you choose to, as you have to step into a flash of light to encounter any creature. Much nicer than Pokemon, whetre a simple stroll in the grass brings out numerous and annoying weak creatures. I also find the use of spells and actual HP used to call on the creatures make the game more stragetic than any other game I've played. Secrets are all over the place, and finding secret hyren areas, powerful relics, and new spells require thorough searching of every nook, cranny, and seemingly empty chests. The characters are humorous, and actually have personality (Gogor set me laughing!), along with your character (And you can even choose to say "yes" or "no" to many situations), Tony Jones. The ONLY drawback I find is only being able to save in the "overworld", not on any map.

5.0 out of 5 stars DONT MISS IT!!!!, August 10, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Magi-Nation (Game Cartridge)
My fav part of this game was the music! I haven't played any of my six Pokemon games since I bought it six months ago. The only thing I didn't like was how Zet was so powerful! I trained up for two weeks before I could beat him. I suggest you get a Deep Hyren as soon as possible. Otherwise the game is GREAT! It has a story actually, unlike many other games like Mario which have merely a plot like "Save the Princess." I'm dying waiting for it's sequel to come out in winter, but I'm not sure if it's for Gameboy Color or Advance. I only have a gameboy color, and if the sequel's for Gameboy Advance, I'm going to do chores till I can buy one!!I'm not going to miss the sequel!!
