5.0 out of 5 stars This Helped My Daughter In Daycare! Thank You!
We love The Magic Bowl! This was the only DVD that got through to my child. As a working mom, I had to quickly work with my daughter to get her trained before her daycare would let her move up to the next classroom, when she turned three years old. Even though she was not fully trained yet, they let her move into the new room with her friends. But, she had a ways to go,...

3.0 out of 5 stars Just plain weird
I'm not sure if I should rate this based on how much I like it or how much my children do. It's regularly requested, but it hasn't motivated them to use the potty. I'm not sure if I should rate this based on how much I like it or how much my children do. It's regularly requested, but it hasn't motivated them to use the potty. After watching Go Potty Go or Potty Power they'll try to use the potty chair, and talk about being big kids. After watching this one, all they can say is that diapers are icky. Which, while true, doesn't make enduring the weirdness of this movie seem worthwhile.

It's probably just me, but this entire movie could honestly be a South Park parody, without the profanity and vulgarity. The anthropomorphic toilet and diaper are strange, but the parts that really struck me as odd were the toilet smiling after being shot in the eye with Sammy Jo's urine, and the song "Poopy Drop."

It does approach potty training in an interesting way. It teaches things the kids should know, and it talks about issues kids really do have (like constipation, or boys learning how to aim) and it tries really hard to touch on all of the things that could come up with potty training, like accidents and practicing. I like that it doesn't show a potty chair, but a regular toilet instead.

But all of these pluses can't make me like the movie. It really is strange, at least in my opinion. I could overlook that if it made my twins want to use the toilet, but they just seem mesmerized by the sideshow when it's on!

Three stars, because it really does teach some useful things even if I don't care for the method. The kids do ask to watch it once in a while, so they must not be as disturbed as I am when I watch.

5.0 out of 5 stars This Helped My Daughter In Daycare! Thank You!, November 2, 2009

But, she had a ways to go, so the pressure was on. I was on a mission to help her get to that level and comfortably. That's when I was introduced to this DVD. Wow!! It took only a week and my daughter had a new outlook on going to the toilet. She absolutely loves the music and songs, and the characters express emotion and struggles that kids can personally relate to. The songs are so contagious that my husband literally would call me from work saying, "I can't get Jennifer, Cindy and Sammy Jo out of my head!" LOL. We both enjoyed many laughs with it.

My daughter Cassie also liked when I'd call her a "Bathroom Champ" just like in the DVD. In the evening, she'd ask me if she could watch the "movie with Jennifer and her friends going potty?" I'd jump up and say, Of course!" The part of the DVD when the boy and his dad need to leave the zoo before seeing the hippo because he wet his diaper and they didn't bring any extras was particularly interesting to her. She was able to see a direct correlation to cause and effect and the consequences, which was great. I'm recommending The Magic Bowl to my friends going through this process with their kids because it truly helps in a quick and fun way. I just had my second child and, while she's just three months old.... I can't wait for her to get to this phase because I'll be armed and ready to start her off right, from the beginning. I highly recommend this product!

5.0 out of 5 stars Success with Potty Training, September 1, 2009

My wife and I have three beautiful children. Potty training with the first two was easy peasy. However, with our third one - a 3 year old boy - TROUBLE! He's a rebelious, stubborn (and charming, of course) little kid, and he did not want to even talk about potty training. Finding this DVD was such a blessing... the boy started singing and asked to go potty almost that same day. It has been three weeks since we purchased this and it's been working great!

4.0 out of 5 stars A Truly Remarkable Potty Training DVD, February 27, 2010
This review is from: The Magic Bowl: Potty Training Made Easy (DVD)
I have never written a comment about any product purchased anywhere, but this time the words have made their own way to the keyboard. This DVD is amazing. It does the potty training job on its own. It is smart, entertaining, delivers a positive message, and teaches children about rewards and cause and effect. It is clever and the songs are wonderful and catchy. It covers all sorts of ethnic backgrounds and therefore anybody can relate to it. It shows the children in various , everyday type, situations that we as parents regularly find ourselves in. As we all know, raising children is a "team sport"; this DVD makes it easy for parents and children to work together as a team. I would highly recommend it.
Thank you Steve.

Talk about toilet training made easy! No more cajoling, whining, pleading, or bribing with M&M's. After a few viewings of this video, my daughter literally danced to use the toilet! The songs and rhythms are catchy and the characters are likable. After only a week, my daughter is going on her own. But parents be prepared! Your children will want to watch this video even after they are diaper free! It's that much fun.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, Encouraging DVD!, January 23, 2011
This review is from: The Magic Bowl: Potty Training Made Easy (DVD)
I really enoyed this dvd and so did my son! He sat all the way through it and really seemed to enjoy it! I think it really brings perspective on what learning to use the potty really means, and shows kids that it may take some time but eventually they will get it! It's encouraging and fun!

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT Product, February 25, 2010
This review is from: The Magic Bowl: Potty Training Made Easy (DVD)
We purchased this dvd after trying almost everything else out there on the market. Nothing else worked! My daughter Emily's potty training dilemma has been affecting the entire family for months, and we have been desperate to find something to successfully motivated her to use the potty. Well, parents...this dvd is what you're looking for! My daughter, as well as her younger siblings, were glued to the TV set as soon as we pressed play. They love the songs and the characters, and they have been greatly influenced by the messages the dvd sends.

Simply put, if you're serious about potty training and are looking for a way to get through to your children, this is the answer that you've been looking for!

5.0 out of 5 stars it made me a happy father, February 22, 2010
This review is from: The Magic Bowl: Potty Training Made Easy (DVD)
I am father of a two year old boy, who was not very interested in learning how to use the toilet. This movie was the turning point. Within a short time, a couple of days, after watching the Magic Bowl, the magic moment happened. He actually started asking to go to bathroom, so he could become a bathroom champ. After 10 days of watching the movie, a gazillion times, we are now diaperless. Although we did feel bad for the sad diaper (this was my favorite song), quite honestly, in this economy, I welcome saving money on diapers.
Thank you The Magic Bowl for helping us, it truly turned the whole process into a fun, music filled experience.

3.0 out of 5 stars Weird movie but son loves it!, February 17, 2010
This review is from: The Magic Bowl: Potty Training Made Easy (DVD)
This is by far one of the strangest dvd's. I feel as thought the makers were on heavy drugs when they thought of it, but my son loves it! It has a talking toilet and diapers and follows three children in their journey through toilet training. There are a few things I like, it shows different ways to use the toilet - one girl sits on the seat, one girl uses a ladder and seat thing (which is what we own) and the boy stands to pee. It's cute and my son will watch it 5 times in a row. We have been training him for some time and he pees fine, but the poop is another issue. I was hooping this might help given all of the reviews, but it has not. And my son actually doesn't like the idea of a potty champion or bathroom champion (whichever it is). He gets mad about it. I give it three stars because he likes to watch the dvd and he hasn't regressed. So, I am back to the drawing board on ideas!

5.0 out of 5 stars Miracle Worker!, February 15, 2010
This review is from: The Magic Bowl: Potty Training Made Easy (DVD)
I work at a daycare and deal with accidents all the time. Recently, Bella, one of our more difficult potty training girls used the potty for the first time and we were all thrilled! When her mother came to pick her up, we asked what she has been doing and she told us about The Magic Bowl. We bought ourselves a copy to check it out and since then, we have been recommending it to all the other parents and our little one have been potty training faster than ever! The Magic Bowl is fun, cute, and really seems to help children gain the confidence they need to enter this daunting diaperless world.
