3.0 out of 5 stars Good overall, not very much of George!, February 6, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Magic Bubble (DVD)
I bought this film because I am a George Clooney-aholic. It's very simple to see in this film that they've released it just to bank off his stardom. There's even a separate trailer on this DVD that semi-features George...it's called the "George Clooney Trailer." I'm not even sure he's in the other one at all. He's probably in the film a total of about 4 minutes...if that. And he certainly does not play the woman's "boyfriend." Basically, he wants her but she wants her husband.

Overall, I enjoyed the film. I thought it was a great story about how you can be unhappy with your life and change it to be happy. She has a very free spirit in this film...her children love & respect her when she loves & respects herself. This is a great film if you're feeling down about your life...sort of like therapy without the big bill!

5.0 out of 5 stars very inspiring, January 1, 2009
This review is from: The Magic Bubble (DVD)

I loved this movie, i first saw it years back i was in my early teens and being a personal fan of low budget movies i naturally caught it on late night tv. Surprisingly, the movie turned out to be better than i expected with a very uplifting message. George Clooney is the biggest name in the credits, even though he has a very small role as the supermarket bagger, but it was the leading lady (who i recognized as the waitress from Pee Wee's Big Adventure)that caught my attention. I loved her transition from the depressed lowly housewife to the carefree youthful free spirit .

1.0 out of 5 stars So awful it's good?, December 20, 2011
This review is from: Unbecoming Age (DVD)
This film is probably THE worst film ever made, it had everything; boom mics in view, camera crew in mirrors, bad script, bad acting, ridiculous plot and never ending side boob from the old leading actress D:
If you're a fan of bad films (just so that you can laugh at and ridicule them) then here is the jackpot... The holy grail. This film had my friends and I crying with laughter at how bad it was but it will also fill you with a deep sense of shame.... It's THAT bad.
I'd give it five stars for sheer hilarity but in all honesty? half a star... But you can't actually give that rating on here, shame.
