We saw the infomercial and our daughter loved it on TV so we ordered it When we opened the box I was a little surprised and disappointed of the lack of quality of the product since the price is almost $100. It's low quality plastic and after handling it I'd say a fair price would be in the $30 to $50 range. Also, it's a little bit on the noisy side when using it. It is fun making the desserts and our daughter had fun helping in making it so that made it worth the purchase price. The clean-up was easy as well. We're now planning recipes for the week and this is a much healthier alternative to ice cream. It's very good as a family activity since the kids love putting the frozen fruit in the shoot.

Overall, the product does what it says it does but at this price I was a little disappointed in the low quality of the equipment.

Purchased this versus the Yonanas product based on the magic bullet name.
It was loud and I felt the dessert wasn't creamy as promised, even after following the directions.
It was just ok.

I purchased the Yonanas machine today at a store and tried it - the dessert was MUCH better and felt and tasted much more like soft serve icecream.
I am going to return the Dessert bullet today

I was given this as a gift, and was on the fence about whether we would use it or even needed another kitchen appliance. The negative reviews on here aren''t true to MY experience with this machine at all.

First of all, no one should be eating a large enough serving of this to merit 8-10 bananas for three servings, as one review claims. I mean, would you eat three bananas yourself, in one sitting? I wouldn't. Maybe a bear, preparing for hibernation, would need to tear through that much fruit at once. For the rest of you, just plan on using normal-sized portions of fruit.

We typically do a couple of chunks of frozen banana mixed with about a half cup of mangos, peaches, pineapple and/or strawberries. You can even buy these things pre-frozen, fairly cheap, right off the shelf. A $2 normal-sized 1-pound sack of mango chunks, for example, will make four or five servings.

I can't imagine why anyone would get on here trying to talk people out of adding fruit to their diets by using this machine. It certainly isn't going to break the bank any more than eating a normal, human-sized amount of fruit. And honestly, truly, really, if you wash right after use, the fruit doesn't stick. Sitting around for a few hours and drying onto the parts is the only thing that would make it stick.

The price on this machine was recently reduced; this makes a compelling argument for giving it a try. I really can't fathom the two-star reviews. Crazy town.

I have had the Yonannas machine for a year and like it except for the cleaning. My mom wanted a Yonana machine since she is pre-diabetic and loves ice cream. I decided to get the dessert bullet to see if it was any better. besides a slight design difference they look like they are the same machine. Not only after testing them side by side they are the same machine, this one is harder to clean. Yonanas is half the price so there is no reason to buy this machine, it does nothing different.

If you are considering buying this know that the fruit has to be frozen, really frozen and a lot of recipes use bananas. So basically you need to buy 8-10 bananas and freeze them for at least 4 hour but it is better overnight. It takes 8-10 bananas to make a small treat for 3 people. The cost of the ingredients is not a money saver over ice cream but I agree is healthier. Some of the flavors sound great but have so many seeds in the desert product. I like smooth ice cream so if I use berries in this machine the desert melts fast (remember there is no milk or fat) and you get a bowl of watery seeds. You also must prepare and serve asap. The treat will melt within 10-15 minutes. Be prepared because ti takes ALOT of fruit. To fill a bowl that would be the equlaivilent of 3-4 scoops of ice cream, you will use 5-6 bananas plus whatever other flavors you want, lets say strawberries, you will need 10+ berries added to the bananas.

The clean up is the big pain. I would sue this way more if it were not for the clean up. The rinse off on tv is a joke. The fruits have pulp, seeds and lots of leftovers that get stuck inside. My husband doesn't like to see the machine come out because he knows he will be stuck cleaning it. If you don't get all the little fruit parts out, and then run it through the dishwasher the fruit gets stuck in. I have an upper end bosch dishwasher so I don't think it is my dishwasher & my mother has different brand of dishwasher and the cleaning is no easier.

Great concept if you choose to pay more for the bullet name or less for yonannas, but you need to be prepared with LOTS of frozen fruits and deal with clean up.

I already had and loved the Magic Bullet and the NutriBullet and when I saw the Dessert Bullet, decided I wanted it too. My daughter and I love it so far. We've created mixed berry "ice cream" and frozen vanilla yogurt and peanut butter "ice cream" desserts, and cherry chocolate vanilla desserts. They taste delicious. The machine is kinda loud though. I didn't think it was worth the $100 price As Seen On TV, so I bought it at Bed,Bath and Beyond for $59. As long as you clean it up soon after you use it, it cleans easily with hot water and a soapy sponge. I thought it was very easy to use and clean. The only complaint I have it that not all of the dessert comes out when you make something. A small portion of it stays in the machine. If you make a second batch, it will come out at the beginning of that new one. If you don't want to mix, you have to clean between each dessert. Overall, I think it's a neat product.

Coming from a vegan family, this is MUST own for anyone that has dairy allergies, is vegan or just wants to make a health dessert! We love it! My 2 kids actually fight over who gets to use it first! Super easy to use!

My kids love this machine (ages 4 and 6). They like coming up with their own individual recipes and as parents we love the fact that we can give them very healthy desserts. Oh, and despite what I've read here, I find clean up... quick and easy.

I've followed a vegan diet for about five years now and often miss eating ice cream. I'm so excited that I can enjoy healthy frozen ice-cream consistency desserts that satisfy my cravings. I've made some pretty amazing combos with this machine. It's so easy to use and easy to clean!

I saw Yonanas at the expo when I ran the San Francisco marathon last year - it was good, but super sugary. The Dessert Bullet is essentially the same, but I don't have to add bananas to get that creamy texture that I miss from ice cream. It's more powerful, and the recipe book is super nifty.

I use the magic bullet to make great frozen shakes and saw this on tv and thought it would be perfect as I love soft serve ice cream. This was terrible to use and a total waste of time. You have to use bananas or the consistency is bad. If you make frozen cubes of yogurt or use frozen fruit, you have to figure out the exact correct thaw time. There is no grinder so everything must be softish so it goes through the plastic wringer. The premise is good and with a ton of time and effort you get a great soft serve dessert. The problem was the time involved, the lack of a grinder for frozen fruit, etc. and the amount left in the machine was a lot. I returned this after trying it every night for a week using a lot of different methods because I really wanted it to be good!
