Magic Scams,
By
This review is from: Magic Dimensions: Personal Transformations Through Magic, Miracles and Quantum Mechanics (Paperback)
Every time I think these two individuals--I cannot bring myself to call them "authors"--can't sink any lower, they prove me wrong. After denouncing magic and other occult practices for years, Gill and Oester now claim it is possible to protect oneself against terrorist attacks--you guessed it--through the use of "magic"! These two charlatans have always preyed on the gullible, but exploiting the 9/11 attacks for monetary gain is unconscionable.
Of course, "Magic Dimensions," like everything else written by Gill and Oester, is full of factual and grammatical errors. People who write books should take a course in English grammar or, at the very least, pay an editor/proofreader to read and edit a proposed book before publishing it.

Another product of pseudoscience,
By A Customer
This review is from: Magic Dimensions: Personal Transformations Through Magic, Miracles and Quantum Mechanics (Paperback)
The major problem I have with this book, besides the fact that no real science is ever applied, is that Dave Oester and Sharon Gill did not work for the titles (PhD) they present. They simply purchased an honorary title (PhD) from a church in California. I know the hard work a real PhD requires and dr. Dave did not earn the privilege of the title. Therefore I have a problem with people like him presenting a title without acknowledging where they received it from. When I did find out where and how he received this PhD it destroyed his creditable as an authority on the subject of Hauntings or anything else. The book incorporates most of the techniques and beliefs that all ghost hunters practice, which are mostly unscientific and untestable. If you are looking for an analytical and critical book about the paranormal, then this is not the book for you. (I highly suggest Joe Nickell's book "the Real X-files" for an objective view of the paranormal). After the first chapter of daves book I felt like my intelligence was being insulted, which I know Dave does not mean to do. However, a scientist will find it demeaning and classify the book as another publication of pseudoscience.

Magic Dimensions,

The credibility of an author is always in question as far as the value of a work is concerned. Every one of us has faults and no one is perfect as alluded to in the very first review from San Francisco. The book is the important subject for this forum, however. The views expressed are in keeping with the philosophy I personally learned while being actively involved with Dr. Oester. There is no doubt that one is forever changed in a positive way by interacting with him. My own life has personally changed to a significant degree by interactions with him. The information contained in this new work can only strengthen the values already instilled by meeting such a unique individual. Anyone who wishes a thought provoking book or wishes to make a change in his/her life will certainly be well served by the latest work of this very active personal growth researcher. The good doctors should continue their fabulous work as it helps so many lost souls.

I Found the Magic,
By A Customer
This review is from: Magic Dimensions: Personal Transformations Through Magic, Miracles and Quantum Mechanics (Paperback)
I always question why someone would launch a personal attack on Dr. Dave instead of discussing the book. I seriously doubt if they have read the book and are simply throwing mud. Dr. Dave and Dr. Sharon are good people whom I respect. I have read the book and it is an excellent help for understanding how to make changes within my life. It addressed many issues that were stumbling blocks, but after applying the techneques in the book, the stumbling blocks were removed and I found the resolution I was seeking. I would recommend the book to anyone going through a transition and who feel trapped in their rut.

Dr. Dave Oester and Dr. Sharon Gill are two of my favorite authors of such books. They know what they are talking about. I have learned much from this book.
