5.0 out of 5 stars Magic Eye for my Magic I
This book is absolutely amazing. My first experience with these kind of prints was framed hanging on a friend's wall. I was thoroughly captivated by it. By this time, the fad of Magic Eye had worn off, but to me it was fresh and exciting. So I began searching for more. Low and behold, here it is. And for a dollar if used!!! 3.0 out of 5 stars In the eye of the beholder
This visual manipulation is sort of fun to engage in with youngsters who seem to have more enthusiasim for this 3-D -eye-foolery. When I read this book with my children years ago I didn't seem to have the patience to sit and stare at a bunch of randomly placed dots and come up with the correct image. I used to look at these things and start hallucinating and concocting...

This is an extremely addictive and entertaining type of art that I wish I could a computer program for to create my own. If you are as fortunate as I am to be able to catch sight of these images, then this book is a must have. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars You Never Forget Your First Time, December 14, 2005

Yep, the first time those seemingly random sqiggles of color in Magic Eye leap into formation and you're staring down at an object under all that chaotic visual mess...it's a magic moment for sure. These books are a lot of fun and worth the effort it takes to get the knack of how to do it. It took me a few tries before I saw anything here, so if at first you don't succeed, stay with it because it's worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Magical Trick of the Eyes!, January 4, 2011

I remember the first time I picked up a copy of this book and it's sequels (if this came out in 1993 then that would put me in 7th grade at the time). When I got those images to pop out at me I was astounded, full color 3D without the goofy glasses! Of course it took a little training and a lot of patience at first but I eventually got the hang of it. I can now see the images by simply staring at them and crossing my eyes ever so slightly, believe it or not this only takes me a few seconds. I guess you could say that I've become a Magic Eye master. If you have as fond memories of these as I do and would like to share them with a new generation, then I say go for it. They are fun, imaginative and brilliantly done. You and your kids will love them, I guarantee it.

I bought this book because I wanted to show someone the Magic Eye pictures. They had never seen anything like them before and couldn't get it. There weren't any at the nearby bookstores so I looked on Amazon and found the original for a cheap price. I was initially somewhat disappointed because the pictures weren't as complex as I remembered, but I soon realized that it started out very simple and got more and more complicated. It's good for beginners, which is who this was for. When I received it I immediately "read" the whole book before I gave it away. Part of the book cover was a little bent in transport. Disappointing, but overall not a big deal. I'm glad I made the purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars A New View on The World, January 4, 2011

Having enjoyed this and many similar items like it in the 80's and 90's I was pleased to be able to present this to my grandson. His first reaction was one of denial that an image or images was contained within the page but, after learning the technique of focus and concentration he was able to see them all. What a delight to watch his face as he saw one after another. Amazing! And a nice return to yesterday as I myself was transported back to my first "oh, my gosh!" moment!! We will be adding new volumes soon.Magic Eye: A New Way of Looking at the World

This book is so much fun, I love looking at it over and over again with my parents, sister and boyfriend... We all try to see who can see the 3D images in it faster! It's quite amazing, relaxing and entertaining. Get it!

This product is beautiful, entertaining and a visiual challenge. Age appropriate seems non essential. Visual perception is the key and who has it is unknowable until you try. Its fun in a group.
