Most of the time, you drop this card into play, you win. It's pretty simple. She's expensive to cast but there are plenty of decks who have ways around waiting that long. Turns your Lingering Souls chump blockers into a virtual airborne army, all while your opponent's weenie creatures just melt away. If you play white at all, you need to pick up one of these.

Elesh is not only one of my favorite cards, but it is also one of the best cards in New Phyrexia, not even including the fact that there are many ways to cheat it out, including Quicksilver amulet or the famous Elvish Piper. To top it off, why can't most white creatures be like this? A 4/7 with Vigilance? Perfect. Exquisite. I got this card at it's low of $16, but I still wouldn't have hesitated to but it at $20.

When I got the card, it was in a hard plastic case and a smaller plastic case. There was even a receipt in the envelope it came in. It had a bit of boxing, but it was nothing heartbreaking. It bent quite a bit after some time out the case, but it flattened right out when I stuck it in my White/Black Commander deck.

All in all, great buy, and this will strengthen any white deck you have.

Awesome in a white soldier token deck, or for late game creature removal. Pretty much the best creature white has seen.
