5.0 out of 5 stars Terrific Halloween Tale with An Welcomed Twist, November 4, 2003
This review is from: The Magic Guinea Pig (Hardcover)
Teachers, librarians, and parents will most certainly want this literary work in their children's book collection! Perfect for the October season, Springstubb's work can be shared at any time throughout the year. This story centers around a little boy, Mark, who never seems to get anything right. The youngster encounters a hilariously fumble-footed witch, who like himself, cannot seem to get anything right as well! What results is a valuable lesson to be embraced by all. THE MAGIC GUINEA PIG serves as a homeotherapeutic resource (particularly for the child who struggles with achieving success in even the most simplist of tasks) and a multiculturally inclusive tool (the majority of the books's characters are American of African descent). THE MAGIC GUINEA PIG is currently out of print; publishers should strongly consider putting it back into circulation! An empowering, must-have item for young readers! Get a hold of it today!
