This is one of the best books I've ever read, and I've read my fair share. Bren and Faith were simply marvelous. The whole book was.
And let me just tell the person who gave it 1 star that to say the sex scenes were not inspirational? You gotta be kidding or you really didn't read the same book I did. The sex in this book was plenty and it WAS inspirational. Some of the best sex I've ever seen written. So there!!! I've read books where sex is never even mention, no passion, no erection, NADA. And I do hate that. Then BAM there it is! This book mentioned it often and all in the right places.
I loved Drust, Eian, Dirc, Berta etc, etc. The whole bunch were great. Well, except for Mored. He was/is pretty evil. I'm off to read Drust's story now and hope I don't have to wait too long for Eian's.

I enjoyed the story and thought it was well written. I liked the idea of the hero waiting for his perfect match as told him by his own father. I liked the heroine. She was strong and her career prepared her for the trip back in time. There are a couple of sex scenes, but not overly graphic. I enjoyed many of the secondary characters and would not mind reading Durst's story. The only thing that bothered me was the information regarding her mother. That wasn't explored or explained to my satisfaction. But that is just a minor complaint. If you like time travel, good vs evil, soulmates, or just a nice romance, you will likely enjoy this book.

I really enjoyed this story, I appreciate strong heroes and heroines as they struggle through various situations and this book would have got five stars except for a pet hate of mine; not to give anything away but when Bren (hero) virtually rapes Faith (for a very good reason of course) he hurts her and bruises her! then he goes back to what he had to do, and Faith forgives him $#%$%, no matter how in love you are wouldn't you at least complain about his treatment of you, she is a more forgiving woman than I would be.

I really liked the way the heroine time traveled and landed up in a world filled with magic.
I also really like it when authors think about writing stories that are different.
I would recommend it.

It was okay, I hate the part that he rape her and she just was okay about it. Wow really not matter how much I love a guy I let him rape me and be okay about it and it was her first time.

After reading other reviews and the description, I really thought this would be a great book. It was all right, but I can't give it anything past that. The characters were good, but the story around them didn't do them justice. This could have been a really great read, but fell short in so many areas. For one, I didn't really feel the connection between them that I thought should be there once they came together. Also, their interaction was just...boring really. There was some action ('m being generous here) which if built upon could have really intensified the story. Has potential, but didn't reach expectations.

I don't usually go for stories with magic but totally enjoyed this one. It was not over done with it. The hero Bren Mac Connach, Chief of his Highland clan comes from a long line of fierce warriors. His family has always believed that there is only one true mate for them. Bren has almost given up that belief when Faith suddenly appears into his life. He is so jaded to the idea that he just sees it as lust at first.

Faith McAlpin, working on Scottish artifacts and finds a beautiful ring. She takes it home to investigate "in the 21st century" she puts it on her finger and wakes in a field of heather in 1526. Lost and confused Faith roams until she spies a castle in the distance and comes across and older man named Dirc. Refusing to explain anything to her he takes her to a cottage to get her clothes of that time period. Faith knows this man has something to do with whats going on but he tells her all in good time.

Some reviewers have gone on rants about some things in this book I did not see. I admit there was one part I found hard to deal with. However it did fit in with the story. It only happened as it did because of the hero trying through the whole book before hand keeping his oath of honor and at that point he had to save lives. From that point after he felt worse on himself. She was fully accepting even when it happened. I just wish if people rant they would make sense doing it lol.

I really enjoyed this story. It did have a a good story behind the love story with an evil man, Mored against Bren. The twist of Faith's true origins totally took me by surprise. Well worth a read.
