SAL MURDOCCA has illustrated more than 200 children's trade and text books. He is also a librettist for children's opera, a video artist, an avid runner, hiker, and bicyclist, and a teacher of children's illustration at the Parsons School of Design. I think many early reader books are below the intelligence of young kids yet their reading hasn't caught up to more advanced books. This series fills that gap perfectly.
Even his father and I can't wait to see what happens next.
The bookclub teacher in school has the kids read them there so my granddaughter was delighted to have her own set.
