My 7-year old son read all four the first day we got them. I asked him if he thought they were good and he said "They're better then good; they're
AWESOME!" ... nuff said! :)

I bought the Magic Tree House books 1 through 16 for my eight year old daughter. She loves them. She reads a book in two days. She can relate to the stories and has an easy time explaining what she read. This is a great start-reader for children. Mary Pope uses a healthy combination of every-day words and with some more advanced verbiage. Though my daugter doesn't always understand the big words, she is introduced to them. This challenges her comprehension. I would recommend this series to parents of children ages 7 to 9.

My son loves these books. We read at least 2 chapters a night.
Even his father and I can't wait to see what happens next.

He has read the first 16 in two weeks. That after reading one book in the last year. He tells me three times a day how much he likes these books. If I told him we had to sell our Wii to buy the next 25 books he wouldn't hesitate.

I think many early reader books are below the intelligence of young kids yet their reading hasn't caught up to more advanced books. This series fills that gap perfectly.

My granchildren love reading books and have the first couple of sets of this series. They love it and helps keep them interested in reading.

This book series really grabbed my boy's heart and imagination. He's really looking forward to our reading time. He even began to read this on his own - I'm hoping he'll finish reading this one. Well done Mary Pope Osborne.

My daughter will read 2 - 3 of these books a day. She loves them. They really encouraged her to read. She read them when she was 6.

My four year old son loves this series of books. We read about one chapter a night and they always keep him interested. He likes the idea that there are two kids and he has is own sister. The educational side of the books is also a benefit. My only complaint is that as the series progresses they seem to have fewer facts and more fantasy. Although, my son loves King Arthur and the knights, so that aspect appeals to him as well.

I ordered these for my grandson who is now six years old. He has been reading the Magic Tree House books since he was four and he absolutely loves them. In fact, that's what he wants for every birthday and Christmas (and in between)! I highly recommend these sets of books for any budding reader.
