From School Library Journal
Gr 4-8-There is not enough information here on any of the topics covered ("Great Moments," "Skate Talk," "Meet a Judge," "Best Pairs," etc.); nor is there a list for further reading. An oversized paperback with many photographs and limited text, the book resembles an ice-show program. The full-color photographs, however, are excellent, showing famous skaters in action as well as some young performers. Larry Brimner's Figure Skating (Children's Press, 1997) is a better resource. Cranston's lightweight title will best be purchased by individuals for their personal collections.-Barb Lawler, Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, PA
