Bring back your old memories of those yummy Jello desserts that your Mom used to make you as a kid. My whole family loves all of the recipes that we have tried from this book. They satisfy your sweet tooth, but don't add to your waistline. Enjoy!

Dessert gels before the days of molecular gastronomy,
By ThirstyBrooks (Massachusetts, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Magic of JELL-O: 100 New and Favorite Recipes Celebrating 100 Years of Fun with JELL-O (Paperback)
The Magic of Jello gives a decent summary of the results of decades of moms and kids playing with Jello in the kitchen. Sure, it's self-promotional material by the makers of Jello, but it also organizes the results of millions of research hours in playing with gels. If you really want dessert and you understand how much that costs in terms of calories, The Magic of Jello provides lots of good suggestions about where to apply your creativity. If you're an accomplished molecular gastronomist, The Magic of Jello makes an interesting retro coffee table book that can get your guests started on appreciating the finer things in life. This book contains about 100 recipes, of which about 30 caught my eye. Many others that seemed just OK may turn out great.

fun, yummy treats & eats,
This review is from: The Magic of JELL-O: 100 New and Favorite Recipes Celebrating 100 Years of Fun with JELL-O (Paperback)
J-E-L-L-0! Who doesn't love a bowl of smooth, creamy pudding or a dish of jiggly, wiggly jello? This colorful book is packed with photos and recipes that are easy, creative and appealing. There is a very simple, 4-ingredient microwave fudge recipe that is so good! I have tried it using butterscotch, vanilla, or chocolate pudding, and they were all delicous. These recipes will please the child in all of us, and kids will have a lot of fun making the imaginative jello-based treats! There is a wide range of desserts from the simple to the spectacular, yet they are all very easy to make.
