5.0 out of 5 stars Rayearth is wonderful
Written for a younger audience, this manga contains a lot of humor and cute pictures. However there is a whimsy that is also enjoyed by older readers as well, as a message that can be appreciated by everyone. I have read all of the manga. It is a wonderful series. I highly recommend it, as so long as you are willing to read all of it. This manga is one of the only...

3.0 out of 5 stars Let's make a little MKR checklist, shall we?
Okee-dokee *cracks knuckles*

Art- 5 stars

Character design- 5 stars

Plot- 5 stars

Actual handling of plot- 2 stars

Now, don't argue with me about how that averages to 3 stars total. ^^;; But anyway, CLAMP had a good idea, but all I want to know...is what the heck were they doing when they finally decided to write it! Let's have a look at how they handle...

This manga is one of the only reasons that I actually buy Mixx (or now Tokyo Pop). CLAMP is very well known for their wonderful artwork and sudden plot twists. This is a manga to read, savoring the artwork, the characters, and the plot. Have a wonderful day!

5.0 out of 5 stars This Book I Great!, March 28, 2001
This review is from: Magic Knight Rayearth, Book 2 (Paperback)
I love Rayearth! This book continues the intense story of three girls from earth who are summoned to Cephiro to become Magic Knights and save Princess Emeraude, who rules Cephiro. I love all of the great artwork in here, this is one of my favourite books. You must read it! The humour in this book is great and you really can laugh at some of the ways they draw their characters. You CAN get used to the way manga artists draw sometimes, or so I've found, though I didn't used to think so.

5.0 out of 5 stars This manga is one of the best that I have ever read! ^_^, January 4, 2001
This review is from: Magic Knight Rayearth, Book 2 (Paperback)
This is one of the very best mangas that I have ever read! It is so interesting! It has everything that I want in a manga: action, fantasy, great illustration and wonderful charaters with great personalities. I throughly enjoyed it and I'm sure that anyone who will read it for the first time will love it as much as I do. (Even after so many times that I have re-read it!) This manga (and the rest of the series) is a great buy and I'm positive that anybody who reads this book won't be disappointed! ^_^

5.0 out of 5 stars For any Anime and Manga Lover. Go Rayearth, April 3, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Magic Knight Rayearth, Book 2 (Paperback)
If you are one of those people who loves Manga (Japanese motionless comics) or Anime (Japanese animation) than this is a must. Made by Clamp (an all female team based in Japan) created the manga and the 46 fascinating TV episodes. Three characters Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu, and there trusty helper Mokona go to the land of Cephiro to save the Princess Emeruade. Wonderfully drawn written and animated, this is a must for any fan of Manga or Anime. This made by a shojo (girl comic) team has not only reached female readers, but also male readers in a large number. Not only because of how its written, but it was drawn to attract Male readers as well. (Got me personally! :) This is a Must

5.0 out of 5 stars The splendid things are divine!, January 7, 2006
This review is from: Magic Knight Rayearth, Book 2 (Paperback)
In this volume you learn a bit more about the invaders of Cephiro. Hikaru, Umi and Fuu have been summoned again to Cephiro-but this times no ones knows who summoned them. In any case, they don the Mashin once again to save Cephiro from the invading countries. The invaders, Tatra and Tarta from the Arabian paradise, wish to take over Cephiro to have it as their own. Lady Aska, the spoiled bratty child empress, wishes to make Cephiro her own personal playground. And Eagle Vision (the cute shonen) wishes to help save his dying country. Each of these invaders have strong wills, and impressive powers. But only one person may become the Pillar. Can the Magic Knights defeat the enemies, find the new Pillar and ultimately save Cephiro? Is everyone doomed? Why does Lady Aska refer to herself as `we'? Is Tatra's Djinn single? And what the h*** is Mokona made of?!?
To find out the answers to all these riveting questions, tune in to the next volume of the Magic Knight rayearth series!!!
=^-^=
As usual, manga from the 100% authentic manga line have high quality, great translation and read from right to left. The artwork is beautiful, the characters are cute, and Mokona finally had a cheek job done and looks much cuter. So does Fuu. The books are beautifull, and I wish they would remake Sailor Moon to the same quality of translation and paper that MKR has. Only Takeuchi-sensei retracted the license, or so I've heard.Boohoo.....Great shoujo manga; highly recommended. Puu! (Mokona agrees, and you can trust Mokona-Umi (yelling) I wouldn't trust her with the time of day!!! Mokona: Puuuu? Puu!)

This review is from: Magic Knight Rayearth, Book 2 (Paperback)
In the first book we were introduced to a trio of Tokyo schoolgirls summoned to a world of will to save a princess. We continue their adventures in this book. Ascot arrives after Alycone falls, and Umi gains something important. They also get their weapons!

A must for any collector of manga, CLAMP fan or not!

5.0 out of 5 stars My first manga, my favorite manga, December 23, 2000
This review is from: Magic Knight Rayearth, Book 2 (Paperback)
Where do I start with Rayearth? It's amazing. Three girls, Umi, Hikaru, and Fuu are summoned to the land of Cephrio to save Princess Emaurade. Cephrio is a magic land where absolutely everything is controled by one's will. The pillar of Cephrio, the princess, is who protects everything using only her will, because she has the strongest heart. However, this isn't your simple knights save the princess plot. In fact, the plot is has some rather unique twists and turns. I don't want to give away any secrets, though. The characters are amusing, and although semi-predictable, are very enjoyable. The artwork is fantastic, and extremely detailed. Every bit piece of it is perfect, right down to the jewels on the armor. The plot, as I said, is wonderful, and the ending is a tear-jerker (so bring tissues). It's well worth the money, in my opinion, and is It's completely beautiful! Rayearth is my favorite manga, an absolute treat.
