While I have the uttmost confidence in all photo articles by Mr.Schneider, this "guide" contains no information on the SIGMA
software, working with raw files etc.essentially everything covered in this book is already covered in the camera manual and is therefore
not necessary.

In my opinion, anyone who owns one of the DP2 cameras will do her/himself a great favor to own this guide. I was deterred from buying it for two years because of an earlier customer review saying that all of the info was already in the manual that came with the camera. That may or may not be true, but the problem is having to dig out the information. The Magic Lantern Guide is well organized and even has an index at the back of the book. The DP2 (DP2s & DP2X) is an enormously complicated camera with capabilities that exceed most cameras of its size. I didn't begin to master my DP2s until I started using the Magic Lantern book. Considering the cost of the camera, this is a small price to pay for learning to use it well.

This is the only book available that talks about the Foveon sensor, albeit in the older DP models, not the DP Merrill models. Still, it has a lot of information and is useful for us Foveon Sensor addicts.
