This is another great FASA magic supplement, designed for Earthdawn but useful for inspiring spell ideas in D&D as well. Earthdawn's magic system is one of the best in RPGs for the ideas governing how magic works and the execution of the spells as game materials with great flavor.

Even if you don't use the Earthdawn system I would get the magic supplements (this, arcane mysteries of barsaive, earthdawn[the basic game] and earthdawn companion)for the quality materials that they are and adapt them to the system you use.
