2.0 out of 5 stars Wasn't totally pleased
After using this book for over 6 months, I found the recipes were high in fat and calories. The pre-planned menus are wonderful and easy to use and most of the recipes tasted good, but I have mostly quit using it because I have other cookbooks and recipes that are much more in the diabetic realm.

I have recommended this book for quite a few people, and have bought it to give my friends who are diabetic, or who just need to lose weight. It's good for weight loss, too.

I would recommend this book for everyone even if you're not a diabetic. The ease of using it is wonderful It takes the guess work out of want to eat and how much. It starts with a very good calorie recommendation of 1500 and you can adjust up to 2200 for you needs. The food is down to earth nothing that you have to spend hours in the kitchen preparing and there are some great recipes. It's just plain healthy eating.
