A vernal gale
All of a sudden having opened wide a frozen window,
Brings us a smell of soil becoming damp,
Which is anxious to declare its love to all
With boundless variety of flowers....
«The Magic Room» is a debut album of an Italian pianist Fabrizio Selli. His music fascinates from the first chords of the composition «Spring's Harmony»: it is full of beauty and finesse. And then you are just hovering among elevated harmonies of «Quel Giorno» and «The Magic Room». And short tunes «It Will Be The Magic Room» and «It Will Be The Years Of Love» forestalling these two compositions emphasize the charm of Fabrizio Selli's music with their touching and tender sounding.
On the whole the musician forestalls nearly all his compositions with short preludes. And this makes their sounding even more expressive. It must be said that some vigour and spring freshness exists in Fabrizio Selli's music. These are the melodies of expectations of happiness and love. When you believe that all troubles are not more than a short episode of your life, and you feel already this heady air of the spring which brings you joy and happiness.
Fabrizio Selli's music is a very individual one. The musician has his own particular style, he adds gentle sounding of keyboards and an exquisite violin to the piano. And moreover the triboluminescence and ingenuousness reside in his music, this is a music of a person who is frank with the world.
«The Magic Room» album is a brilliant debut that reveals an outstanding new age musician Fabrizio Selli to us. The performer expresses his feelings in all sincerity. And this sincerity with which his music is imbued prompts us to listening «The Magic Room» album time and again.
