My 6 year old daughter absolutely loves this collection. She can't stop watching them since we received them over a week ago. It is nice to have dvds that are educational as well as fun. I ordered the books to go with them, since she likes to read familiar stories.

I agree with the other reviewers that amazon should have listed the episodes expected on this dvd set. I had to wait to get the set before ordeing the dinosaur episode (which is my daughter's favorite), since i did not want a duplicate.

Yes, the collection is of episodes seen on TV. However, as far as the reviewer who claims we are lazy for not just taping the episodes--here in NY there ARE commercials on the channels that carry this show for us. Also, since many parents work, we can't be checking schedules every day and setting VCRs; also, when my daughter adores a show this much--it is much more enjoyable for her to find a dvd with a cover and locate the episodes she wants to watch herself, instaed of having a bunch of them on a homemeade video(this was fine when she was 3 and would watch episodes at random or over and over again). It gives her the independence of choosing her own shows by herself. Also, the dvd provides EXTRAS to use on you computer or dvd player.

Buy the set--it is wonderful.

So, I LOVE The Magic School Bus and find that when I need to do some work around the house I can leave my 5 year old in the capable hands of Ms. Frizzle. :) That being said; I too had to wait until they arrived to make sure that I didn't double up on episodes. So here is the list;

This has been great for us (especially on Saturdays) when there are sooooo many commercials that take away from the story line. It's a great addition to your collection...or as have found out; a great start to a collection. :)

Thank you Judy Storrer of Bryn Mawr, PA. I agree with the other people who have sent a review--my six year old and I love the Magic School Bus, but think it is disgraceful that a shopper has to do the work for Amazon. This is not the Amazon I am used to. I will be buying the 9 episode collection, but perhaps not from Amazon, just to send a message to the powers that be to get on the ball and do their job correctly. If Amazon wants my money, they had better start doing things right--such as listing the episodes on a DVD collection. Surely that can't be that hard? They can give me technical information that I don't need or care about, but the important things--such as the number of episodes on the collection and the titles of those episodes, well I guess that's just too much work for someone at Amazon to do! Thank you once again Mrs. Storrer for doing someone else's job!

My 6yr old can't get enough of the Magic School Bus series...I purchased this for him to take on our vacation to have something to watch in the evening in case the cable selection was limited, and he tried to watch all 3 DVD's, ( 9 episodes) in one sitting!!...By the time our holiday was over he could tell us everything we wanted to know about our solar system and large intestines, ( more than we wanted to know!!) Hehehehehehehe And since we've been home he's watched them over and over again, and "shared" them with us and his older sibs...Highly recommended and money well spent!!

My kids are ages 5, 6 and 11 1/2 (two girls, one boy). Your listing of episodes was the deciding factor for my purchase today! Have to get value for the dollar.
This series appeals to ALL ages (even me) and genders. My children wanted to rent these regularly until our local Blockbuster no longer carried them. Thanks again Ms. Judi. Hope this kindness is returned to you.

My grandkids, ages 3, 4, and 6, love these stories, and will watch them over, and over, and over, and over,...... you get the picture. They're very well done.

I use them when we study certain units. For example, we do a unit on sound. And the Museum episode works well with helping explain echolation in a fun way. They get review of what we have read about and done experienments on and they don't even know they are reinforcing their learning. Very engaging shows that are easy to build into learning units. The Space Adventures works well into the learning standards for 2nd grade science on planets as well.

If my kids are going to be glued to the TV, I would rather have something educational on than the average junk they play for kids. Magic Schoolbus has taught them so much over the years and inspires us to discuss science together. We love it!

My 4-year-old daughter loves this show! My high school students have fond memories of it. Everyone in the family is learning a lot new science trivia.

DVD's were just as published. Came sealed and on time for Christmas.
My sons have watched them over and over. Will purchase more.
