This was great fun for the kids, but the educational side was a bit lacking. Also the items are not very durable so they don't last more than a few times. Overall ok product and fun introduction to how things fly.

I bought this for one of my grandsons as part of his birthday gift because he is very interesting in airplanes and thought he would learn a lot from this Kit. So glad we are able to find many different kinds of toys on Amazon as it makes it easy for me to pick individualized gifts for all my grandchildren. Thanks again.

Who doesn't like paper airplanes? This kit teaches the science behind flight and how to build the best paper airplane possible. There are lessons on parachutes, helicopters, rockets, and more. I teach a small group of home schoolers aged 5-8 based on these kits. Kids loved doing the rocket launching experiment (although it is an outside experiment). I used 4 kits for 12 kids and they were able to share with few extras being purchased (from the grocery store). I combined it with the "Secrets of Space" kit for the semester, so there were 11 hours of fun-packed learning with experiments left undone between the two kits. Many of them could be repeated over and over again. Our helicopter spinners didn't fit together correctly, so they didn't work as planned but you get the idea. There are a lot of terms that were covered including "Low pressure" and how these affect flight. It didn't go over well with most kids, but they understood the concepts. Overall, it was lots of fun. |
