The magic bus series is very enjoyable. As swimming season started we learned about sinking and floating. I know he gets it when he tells me what we have to do to make things sink or swim in the pool.

This book has more 'ups' than 'downs',
This review is from: Magic School Bus Ups and Downs: A Book about Floating and Sinking (Magic School Bus (Prebound)) (School & Library Binding)
Since children love 'The Magic School Bus' television show, this book about sinking and floating will be sure to grab the attention of those inquisitive young minds! It serves as a great asset to a science classroom, or your own home library. Although it is kind of lengthy, I highly recommend it for insurance of complete understanding of the sinking and floating process. Happy reading!

Love, love, love these books!!! We have been reading these books to my daughter since she was 3 years old because she is curious and asks questions about everything! Each book has great detail and information about the topic of that book. The characters make learning about science fun and exciting! Definitely not a bedtime book because the books generate even more questions from your child. Great way to encourage interest in science!

This review is from: The Magic School Bus Ups And Downs: A Book About Floating And Sinking (Paperback)
This is another of the TV-series offshoot Magic School Bus books and therefore not of the quality and detail of one of the core series of books by Joanna Cole. Still, it is very informative and entertaining; my six year old thoroughly enjoyed it. This book dedicates more words to a catchy story than informative science, but we still enjoyed the read and gained some new knowledge from it. If you do not yet own the complete original series, buy those first; if you are a true MSB fan as we are, you will also enjoy this title despite the fact that it does not truly compare.by Nadine Slavinski, author of Lesson Plans Ahoy!: Hands-on learning for sailing children and home schooling sailors
