This is a great series for early readers that want to move to a bit more challenging chapter books. My second grader loves that each book is about a different adventure and that she learns facts at the same time.

I own a number of these books for my son. Even though they are chapter books, they are very easy to read. There is a lot of information in the book about tornados along with a great story line.

During the school day, Mrs. Frizzle wants to take her class to the amusement park all about weather, but it is closed because a big storm is coming. Instead of leaving, she decides to stay and teach her class about weather by being inside the bad weather. We recommend this book to kids ages eight and up who are interested in science, have an imagination, and want to learn more about why we have weather and storms.
