Love the flexible cutting board, however, the colors are not as vivid as the original one this replaced.

First I will start out with saying, I did not buy this for a cutting board, so you may now better appreciate my perspective. I bought this as a decorative counter mat for my coffee bar. It is used in front of my grinder and coffee pot to place my mug, creamer and sugar mess. I use it to easily pick up the sugar guts that magically never makes it from the sugar dispenser, on the spoon, to the mug. I just easily lift this mat and rinse it off in the sink and its ready to go again on the counter.
Pros - Priced right (I think) - Quality art design - Easy to clean - Thin enough to curl up to use as a funnel to channel cuttings into a small container or mixer. similar to how Alton Brown does with his. Cons - Not a complete replacement for a wooden cutting board. I don't recommend chopping bones with a cleaver on this mat, you will go through it. - It does tend to slip easily since the backside isn't non-slip material and very light. This can annoy. Summary: Hold on to your wood cutting board, you're going to still need it. Great product if used similar to how I use it, more of a decorative product with light duty convenience.

I'm purchasing a new one - even though I ruined the first two by accidentallly setting hot items on them - that was my fault! They melt very easily - so keep this in mind.
However, it love it for slicing veggies, cheese, bread. It stays put on the counter and looks so pretty! This is a slicing mat - not a 'chopping block' - so hacking would be better done on a cutting 'board'.
