Love the flexible cutting board, however, the colors are not as vivid as the original one this replaced.

First I will start out with saying, I did not buy this for a cutting board, so you may now better appreciate my perspective. I bought this as a decorative counter mat for my coffee bar. It is used in front of my grinder and coffee pot to place my mug, creamer and sugar mess. I use it to easily pick up the sugar guts that magically never makes it from the sugar dispenser, on the spoon, to the mug. I just easily lift this mat and rinse it off in the sink and its ready to go again on the counter.Pros - Priced right (I think) - Quality art design - Easy to clean - Thin enough to curl up to use as a funnel to channel cuttings into a small container or mixer. similar to how Alton Brown does with his. Cons - Not a complete replacement for a wooden cutting board. I don't recommend chopping bones with a cleaver on this mat, you will go through it. - It does tend to slip easily since the backside isn't non-slip material and very light. This can annoy. Summary: Hold on to your wood cutting board, you're going to still need it. Great product if used similar to how I use it, more of a decorative product with light duty convenience.

I'm purchasing a new one - even though I ruined the first two by accidentallly setting hot items on them - that was my fault! They melt very easily - so keep this in mind. However, it love it for slicing veggies, cheese, bread. It stays put on the counter and looks so pretty! This is a slicing mat - not a 'chopping block' - so hacking would be better done on a cutting 'board'.

Not worth the money,

The words "cutting board" do not describe what this is. This is thinner than cardboard, and scratches very easily. Although it does stay put on the counter well, you would be better off buying a real cutting board.

Nice addition, but became brittle.,

I'm ordering a second one to replace the first because I like how it looks on my counter in front of my espresso machine. It's easily washed in the sink and I can dump spilled grounds and coffee into the sink. I've also used it occasionally for slicing but not chopping. After about five years of use, it became brittle and broke. If I weren't pleased with it I wouldn't replace it, but I'm a bit disappointed it wasn't more durable.
