With a wealth of spiritual books out there, Magic of the Soul does a great job bringing spirituality to practical level. It seems a perfect fit with where we are in the world today: looking for answers and knowing we have to go inside ourselves to get them. The author embraces our humanness (emotions, thought, and so on), and his own humanity and path are explored, making it easy to approach. My favorite feature, though, was the CD of meditations that comes with it. It was a great way to practice what this teacher offered!

Some times out of the blue, something comes into your life just at the right moment. This book is one of those things. It opens the door to bring back the magic in life. The information and the philosophy are provided to us and it is up to us whether we apply this knowledge to our lives or not. It is a wonderful book and a gift from the universe that I will treasure the rest of my days. I wholeheartedly recommend this book especially for those desiring to make their daily lives more than just the mundane grind.

If you're looking for a written guide to help unlock the magic of the soul within you then Patrick Harbula's book is a must read. Filled with life-enhancing practical wisdom, the kind that only comes from personal experience, Patrick's insights and spiritual exercises are powerful and to the point. It is not enough to read about the spiritual life, it must be experienced, and the bonus CD is a perfect solution.

The Publisher Weekly's reviewer understood this when s/he wrote: "The central concept that the soul has "magic" is fuzzy; the metaphor of magic overly romanticizes the disciplines of meditation, prayer, visualization, (&) affirmation that need to be learned and then done repeatedly and often, even when they don't instantly produce desired results." Absolutely right on. Think of it as spiritual aerobics.

The difficult task for any writer with such a "fuzzy" topic like "Magic of The Soul" is the clumsiness of human language. The word hand, for instance, is familiar enough but it offers no insight into the experience of owning one. The word hand is no help in understanding the feelings involved in holding your child's hand for the first time, or the touch of a lover's caress; it's just a word--hand. How much fuzzier is the word magic? Through meditation I have experienced my soul. In that timeless moment magic takes on a whole new meaning. In my experience the soul doesn't have magic, it is magic.

Being unique we're going to experience our soul differently. Experience is the key. Practice, practice, and more practice reveals perfection everywhere. How's that for fuzzy!

As I read this book cover to cover I realized that Patrick had clearly described twenty years of my inner journey and the universal wisdom that followed on the heels of all those spiritual blisters. I always find it rewarding when a writer can so clearly capture his subject. Patrick you've done an excellent job with a very fuzzy topic. With so many meditation experiences to choose from I feel like a kid in a candy store. Thanks for such great value. The CD is a brilliant.

Patrick Harbula's "Magic of the Soul" is one of those rare books that I picked up and could not put down, and that I have revisited many times as a source of inspiration and enlightenment. As a child, I loved watching magic acts and was mesmerized as I observed magicians seemingly pulling things out of nothing and transforming objects. Throughout this book, Patrick reminds us that our spiritual nature enables us to perform this "magical process" of calling forth greater goodness into our lives and our world than we have ever known. I particularly appreciated his practical insights on how we can transform our life challenges into something good and meaningful without denying the pain or discomfort we experience as we move through them. I cannot thank Patrick enough for the ways that his work has enriched my life, and how it has supported me in my work as a minister and spiritual counselor.

I read the Magic of the Soul for the first time about three or four years ago and have continued to study it in depth. I have continued to use it over the years as a handbook to life. My copy of the book is well worn and quite tattered from the use. This book offers many practical exercises to use on a daily basis to achieve higher spiritual awareness and self acceptance. The author, Patrick Harbula is a very warm, loving, accepting, genuine, and insightful teacher. I highly recommend this book, as well as his workshops, seminars and retreats.

I happen to personally know the author of this book as I took a class from him based upon his writings. This man and his book have changed my life. He has a way of helping you get right to the heart of what you need to look at or work on in your unique life. The chapters of the book are informative, clear and inspirational. Easy to read and apply to your life and situation. And the big plus is that the book includes a free cd which has several guided meditations on it which are led by the author. These are powerful and healing.

I have read many spiritual books in my life and I rate this one a gem...a life alterer...a gift.

I often disagree with things that Patrick says however reading his book The Magic of the Soul with an open mind I found much to think about.

The worst moments and experiences of your life really are the most important opportunities to discover your personal gift for the world.

I confess that 30 years of studying Religious Science prejudiced me against the word magic. What Patrick calls magic is what I call the natural working of Spiritual Law. It seems like magic but so did many other advances humanity has made until the rest of us began to understand.

Read this book. It will lend perspective to all of the Law of attraction material. It tells the Secret in its own way as surely as the movie or book called the Secret has done.

After you have read this book take one of Patrick's classes or workshops. You will be glad you did unless you are as closed minded as I was. Still I am glad I read this book, glad to have taken one of his classes, and always glad to refer a seeker to any path I think is good. This is one of those paths.

After taking Patrick's meditation workshop on applying "The Secret" to your own life, and having it be my 1st meditation experience ever, I was hungry for more and asked Patrick specifically if he could recommend a book with a cd for follow up on meditation practice. He grinned and produced a book without even telling me it was his own. The book is a great read, and has a meditation cd on the back cover.
I truly believe the soul is magical and is working round the clock in ways we don't often notice. When we open our hearts, we will see manifestation of just what we wish for appear at just the right time, before our very eyes. Patrick's work is truly inspirational. Bought them as gifts for my soul circle of friends. Highly recommend.
