Linda Chapman lives in Leicestershire with her husband, daughter and three Bernese Mountain dogs, Poppy, Teasel and Bramble. She learnt to ride when she was three and her first pony was a very stubborn Welsh Mountain pony called Swizzle, who she used to imagine was a unicorn but who unfortunately behaved nothing like Twilight! My daughter loves this book. She was very enchanted by the story. This was the first one in the series we read together. I can't wait to buy her the others. I also enjoyed reading it. Sometimes, kids books are so easy that they have no magic. This one had magic and imagination...great combination as a read-aloud or read-alone.

I have not read the book myself but my 7 year old daughter loves it. She is very interested in horses and not a big fan of reading right now. I managed to talked her into reading it and she was very interested in the story line and was telling me all about it. She did read the book faster than I had thought she would have though.

This series of books is super cute and great for 1st and 2nd grade readers. Scholastic only has published 4 of these in the U.S. but there are over 20 books in the series. You can find the other ones from the U.K. online if you look.
