Magic Tree House Box Set, August 19, 2005
This review is from: Magic Tree House Boxed Set, Books 9-12: Dolphins at Daybreak, Ghost Town at Sundown, Lions at Lunchtime, and Polar Bears Past Bedtime (Paperback)
After attempting to sign out the Magic Tree House books in order from our local library without much success due to there popularity - I decided to buy them through Amazon. Purchasing the books in the box set made the price very reasonable. Our family has been spending a lot of time together reading these books and my 5 and 7 year old just can not seem to get enough of them.

Mary Pope Osborne's the Mystery of the Ancient Riddles: Books 9-12, July 10, 2005
This review is from: Magic Tree House Boxed Set, Books 9-12: Dolphins at Daybreak, Ghost Town at Sundown, Lions at Lunchtime, and Polar Bears Past Bedtime (Paperback)
This is one of my 3 favorite sets of Magic Tree House series books although I have only read books 1-28. I teach Sunday School and babysit and they are a big hit with the kids-especially those ages 5-8. I liked the books so much that I bought some extras for the kids at the homeless shelter. This set takes the two kids to search for answers to riddles. Always the 4th book of each set ties together what was discovered in each of the 4 books. The books put in bits of non-fiction along with fiction. Plus, this 4 book set comes with 8 trading cards, which include quiz questions and information on some of the books. I think that in these four books, the kids (Jack and Annie) went to someplace very cold, met some dolphins, toured a ghost town, and went to another place with wildlife and trees and water (I read these books a number of months ago). I highly recommend this set. By the way, my other favorite series of 4 books are 13-16 and 21-24. Oh, I am a college student and do not have kids yet, but have taught for many years.

The adventure continues!, January 2, 2006
This review is from: Magic Tree House Boxed Set, Books 9-12: Dolphins at Daybreak, Ghost Town at Sundown, Lions at Lunchtime, and Polar Bears Past Bedtime (Paperback)
My son received this box set for Xmas...
It was the BEST reaction to any present he opened or received!!!
He yelled and screamed and ran around the living room!
NOW THAT is priceless!
Any book\series that creates that kind of enthusiasim has earned 5 stars. He is most curious and wants to know what the next books inthe series are about, and where we are going.
I am thrilled to be passing on my passion for reading to my son. I am pleased that I found a fun, easy and light series to introduce him to the world of "real reading". The books inspire him to ask questions about people, real places, history and other cultures. That too is priceless.
