I originally bought the books because my son needed to do a book report. I decided to get a bunch of books to choose from. He picked Ninjas at Nighttime. The books are great for beginning chapter book readers. They are not terribly long and the font size are not that small. The writing is simple and easy to follow. The stories are engaging. The books have just a few illustrations to keep young readers interested without being total picture book. I am considering to get the audio CDs so he can listen along. That may also help him with comprehension and remembering details.

What a great series! My 6 year old loves these and they are an easy read for a young readers. We also love the the Research Guides that go along with some of the books.
