A Kid's Review
This review is from: Magic Tree House Fact Tracker #9: Dolphins and Sharks: A Nonfiction Companion to Magic Tree House #9: Dolphins at Daybreak (A Stepping Stone Book(TM)) (Paperback)
Dolphins and Sharks is a non-fiction companion to Dolphins at Daybreak. It contains a lot of facts and information. It is a Magic Tree House Research Guide (a stepping stone book). It talks about dolphins and sharks, how they communicate and how they are different from each other. I like this book very much because I love dolphins.I am sure that fans of dolphins and sharks, and the Dolphins at Daybreak book, will enjoy 'Dolphins and Sharks: Magic Tree House Research Guide'. Leave out the evolution, October 21, 2009
This review is from: Magic Tree House Fact Tracker #9: Dolphins and Sharks: A Nonfiction Companion to Magic Tree House #9: Dolphins at Daybreak (A Stepping Stone Book(TM)) (Paperback)
I love this book except the one thing that made me hate it. And, that was the evolution. Non-fiction books like to present evolution as fact instead of theory. The truth is that no one really knows what happened 50 million years ago. To suggest that dolphins were once land creatures that walked upright and had hands and legs is a bit too much for me. The book makes it seem like anyone who is anyone knows that it is truth. Really?? I don't know that. You don't know that. It would have been a great book if they had offered any other opinion than that one. Of course, that would not be politically correct. I won't be ordering this book for our school system, and I will review all other Magic Tree House non-fiction research guides as well. It is a shame because we were going to purchase them all. And, scientists give me a hard time for believing in a man who died and rose again for the forgiveness of my sins. Please.
