Leprechaun in Late Winter was an awesome book. I am in 2nd grade and love reading Magic Tree House books. I learned a lot about Ireland and leprechauns. This book would make a great St. Patrick's Day gift!

My son told me that my grandaughter was very much interested in this series of books so I ordered some to keep at my home for her to look at when she visited. With the weather and all I have not been able to see her yet but I'm sure she is going to love them. The books themselves are well constructed which pleases me and seems that they are going to be a pleasant surprise for her.

This was a great book. I know that this book is very light
reading for me but I have always loved this series. In this book Jack and Annie are sent by Merlin on a Merlin Mission. They go to Ireland in the 19th century and their mission is to inspire a girl named Augusta so that she can share her amazing gift, her mesmerizing potential with the rest of the world. Jack and Annie face a few obstacles along the way but after all that is one of the milestones in making a great story, creating conflicts. They successfully achieve their goal in the end. This was a good book. I personally liked it. The only thing that I don't like about this series is that the author always follows the same format. She never varies or differentiates from her strict format. Other than the story itself. That is what gets you fed up with the series. You know, if you're not a 7 year old. started with a Cd from Wendy's as a promo. Have purchased almost entire audio book series except for 2 volumes. 6 yr old niece loves Jack and Annie. Me too! very entertaining on the way to school or anywhere. Mary Pope Osborne is a good author and reader. Keeps you focused on stories. thank you MPO.

Book #43 in the 'Magic Tree House' series tells how the tree house whisks Jack and Annie off to a rainy winter in Ireland long ago. Their mission is to find girl Augusta and inspire her to share her talents with the world - but when they locate her, they find she's the dullest girl ever. A magic whistle changes all their worlds in this fine survey.
