5.0 out of 5 stars The Knight at Dawn November 16, 2000
A Kid's Review
Format:Paperback
If you like the Magic Treehouse series and adventure and knights, this is the book for you - The Knight at Dawn by Mary Pope Osborne. In the book, Annie and Jack went back in time when there were knights in castles. They went in an Amory Room. Jack found a secret passage, it lead to the storeroom to a precipice over the moat. Jack thought that there must be a window. It was a foot away from the window to the ground. So he put his foot outside the window and dangled it. Read the book to find out more.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful story, but a lot of poor grammar September 9, 2005
Format:Paperback
MY OPINION: This is a wonderfull book. I read the Magic Tree House books to my little brother every night, and he said that he likes these books a lot, exept for all the bad grammar. The grammar bothered me, also. For example: '"Remember the picture of Frog Creek?" said Annie.' Instead of 'said Annie', it should have been 'asked Annie'. If things like that bother you, well, I'm warning you there's a lot of it. But besides that it is a wonderfull story for kids. It is 10 chapters long and 66 pages. I would say that this book was better than the first one (Dinosaurs Before Dark).

ABOUT THE BOOK: It is about 8 and a half year old Jack, and his 7 year old sister, Annie. When they return to the magic tree house and Annie wishes she could see a real Knight, the magic tree house takes them to the middle ages. Jack and Annie find a bookmark with the same letter 'm' on it as the gold medallion they had found in the time of dinosaurs. In this book you will learn about how much a helmet wayed back then, What people would eat at feasts, where the feasts were held and stuff like that.

I hope my review was helpfull :)

I liked this book because they get away from guards and find a trapdoor in the castle. I liked when the splashes came in the moat. I think this book is the best and everybody should read it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Add this book to your "Magic Treehouse" collection. March 9, 1999

Format:Turtleback
This is an exciting book. Jack and Annie go back in time and end up at a castle. I liked the part where Jack fell out of the castle and into the moat. They meet a mysterious knight. Jack and Annie find another "M" clue at the end of the story.

I love this series. This book is fun to read, but does not have as much educational information as some of the other books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kad December 20, 2006
A Kid's Review
Format:Paperback
I think The Knight at Dawn is a great book. People who like knights, castles and adventure would really like this book a lot. The main characters' names are Jack, a ten-year-old boy and Annie, a seven old girl. Jack and Annie are brother and sister in the book. The Magic Tree House stories are about Jack and Annie going back in time to different time periods in every book. My favorite part of the book is when they got put in jail. They escape and got out of the castle and go home.

I recommend this book for people who like adventure stories.
