This is an awesome book!,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Magic in Your Mind (Paperback)
I have over 100 books on personal development sitting on my bookshelf and this has to be absolutely one of the best I've ever read. Don't think twice, just buy this book and read it. I haven't read any other books that so eloquently and convincingly explain the mechanics behind all creation in the material world. It does this while "almost uncanningly" knowing exactly what it is that holds people back and addresses those issues directly.I would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes "Think and Grow Rich", "Creative Visualization", "Manifest Your Destiny", or "As a Man Thinketh".

A profound, life-changing read,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Magic in Your Mind (Paperback)
This book is without question one of the most important ever written. After reading it I knew my life would never be the same again. It really makes you see what is possible in this world of "false boundaries and limits" and plants the desire to follow your heart and to never lose sight of your dreams, no matter how far-fetched they may seem. Thanks to Steve Vai for mentioning this book in an interview years ago. I never would have heard of it or gone out and bought it if it weren't for him.

There is a world of wisdom in this book. However it might not be for everybody. If you are looking for some instant "secrets" that can change your life, look elsewhere. This book explores how we react based on our ingrained emotions. Reason does not rule our lives - the subconscious mind does. And we do not simply tell our subconscious mind to think different. "The subconscious mind must preceive, then accept." If we let our ego rule our lives, we are constantly competing. That is a game we will never win. There will always be someone who has more, has done more, is better educated or younger, better looking, etc. We must learn that there is a higher purpose in life and we need to learn how to supress our ego and follow the higher purpose. There are some great insights about life and how to live it. However since it represents a way of thinking that will be new to most people, it takes some time to read and absorb. It is well worth the effort if you approach the subject with an open mind. It is a book to be studied. The concepts will take time to sink into our subconscious mind. But if you will follow the teachings of the book, you will discover true magic.

I return to this one often...,
By Mark Daniels (Albany, NY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Magic in Your Mind (Paperback)
I first bought and read this book back in the early 90s, after reading an interview with guitarist Steve Vai in MUSICIAN magazine. This is the book that started Vai on a spiritual path, and it's been a favorite of mine as well.I've suffered from a cyclical depression for 12 years. Whenever I feel "stuck," I re-read this book. We can have whatever we want in this life. KNOWING and BELIEVING makes it so.

The mystery behind successful goal setting,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Magic in Your Mind (Paperback)
I was wondering for years why goal setting, with all its techniques would be so ineffective. This book clearly explains why. Your random wishing and repetitions everyday will amount to nothing unless you let go. What a relief... It clearly explains why you are not in control and never will be. I slept well after reading this book. Definitely one to visit over and over again.

Superb,
By
This review is from: The Magic in Your Mind (Paperback)
This is a superb book. US Andersen is one of the best! He has an understanding of principles of Law beyond most writers. When he really gets going, it's almost like poetry. Only drawback is a lack of organization - this is not the most well-organized treatise written. This is to be forgiven, as it all is worthwhile.
Highly recommended for those seeking answers as to how your mind works, and how it interacts with the Master Mind. Read it!

A Classic and Inspirational Self-Help Book,
By
This review is from: The Magic in Your Mind (Paperback)
The author begins with the premise "that man's consciousness is God's consciousness in process of becoming," and suggests a method by which such awareness may be used for a more practical and richer life." Those who usually are skeptical of terms like 'spirituality' will discover that this subject can be free of all the dark and heavy mystery that we unfortunately find so often. Andersen's style of writing is not complicated. The most difficult part may even lie in the simplicity of these ideas. This book is a classic, I highly recommend it.

Life changing,
By
This review is from: The Magic in Your Mind (Paperback)
This is the most thought provoking life changing book I have ever read. Why it is not a no1 best seller eludes me. It is a bit repetitive but I believe this is necessary to get the message across. While the middle can be tough going once you have completed the last few chapters it's a revelation. This is my "bible"

I read all U.S.Anderson's books in the 1980's when I first started my quest to learn about life and the subconscious mind. They were the best introduction into my search and I am forever grateful.

The Magic in your Mind,
This review is from: The Magic in Your Mind (Paperback)
A great help for anyone who is willing to change his or her life in some direction and wants tools to know how change can happen.
Coincedence doesn't exist. Basicly what you can visualize will manifest itself in the material world. I really enjoyed reading this book :-) may the light be your guide |
