I'm going to say this straight off: the Bomber deck is arguably THE best (next to Way Wild) deck for the Seventh Edition set. Not only does it have a wide array of great and sneakilish cards; such as Ancestral Memories, (rare), Daring Apprentice, (rare), Air Elemental, Merfolk Looter, and of course the lovable Wind Drake and Counterspell, but it does a good job of introducing new players of Magic to many important aspects of the game. Also, some of the cards in Bomber (i.e., Ancestral Memories and Merfolk Looter) work surprisingly well with the new Odyssey block's (Odyssey, Torment and Judgment sets) mechanics, Threshold, Flashback, and Madness. This 40 card deck, complete with TWO rares and a randomly inserted foil land is well worth its value ... and should be strongly considered being added to anyone's collection.

This deck is *designed* for people who are new to Magic, though it has cards useful to all players. Magic is sometimes described as "like chess with thousands of types of pieces, where you choose which pieces you'll play with each game". It does teach strategic thinking, like chess, but Magic is much less abstract, and the game appeals to a broad set of interests (strategy, card games, lots of pictures, tactics, friendly play, collecting, trading). Good for 14ish through adult. My only misgiving is how the artwork seems 75% slanted towards boys.Note that each player needs their own deck/collection; if buying for two people, get a different beginner set (any numbered edition like "6th" or "7th", or "8th" also called "core set"). The non-beginner sets have names like "odyssey" and "onslaught"; these are fine after having played half a dozen games with a basic set. Be warned: one can always use more magic cards in their collection; giving this as a gift could create a monster !-)

If you're a beginner, this is a good deck to start with. It is easy to play, but the cards are not really that good. For the same $10 you could buy a preconstructed deck from one of the expansions. This deck contains only 40 cards, making it not legal in standard type 1 constructed games. The expansion preconstructed decks are much better and have 60 cards as opposed to the 40 in this one.

Excellent Deck + A few EXCELLENT cards,

This Seventh Edition theme deck with 40 cards, including TWO rares and a randomly inserted foil land, is in my opinion, well worth its value, .... But that's not the biggest reason for buying it. The reason to buy it is that the Bomber deck has quite a few valuable/useful cards. These cards include: Ancestral Memories, (rare), Daring Apprentice, (rare), Air Elemental, Merfolk Looter, Wall of Air, and of course, the lovable Wind Drake and Counterspell. Beyond this element, this mono-blue deck, (all blue cards), does a good job of teaching newer players of Magic the qualities and traits of blue cards, as well as some important mechanics of the game. Also, many of the cards in the Bomber deck have amazing synergy with cards in the newest three sets, Odyssey, Torment, and Judgment. New and old players alike should strongly consider adding the Bomber deck to their collections! If you don't have this great deck already, or, heck, even if you do, go out and buy it RIGHT NOW!!!

if your wanting to buy a couple decks for you and your kid brother to play then the 7E decks are great. But if you want to compete with these decks ESPECIALLY if you decide to play the Online Version, then stay away from 7E decks they are so gimpy compared to the other decks out there you'll get too frustrated playing against them to have fun.

My son owns a Magic:The Gathering Starter Deck, which includes an excellent 7th edition card catalog. This Bomber Deck uses all water cards, although it's got excellent cards in it. For example, there's lots of Merfolk(which make inexpensive early attackers), Drakes(also cheap powerful attackers), etc. But the crown is Air Elemental, a powerful attacker(5/4 i think)In conclusion, this is an excellent theme deck to move up to after you get the basic beat of the game. VERY VERY good for new players if they have the rulebook.

This is a pretty good deck I'ts loaded with flying cards. It has some prety good Instants and sorcerys. The best card you get is an Air Elemental (flying 4/4) and the other good cards are a fighting draik (flying 2/4) two wind draiks (flying 2/2), and some good walls such as Glacial wall (0/7). I think this theme deck is pretty good and I would recomend buying it!!!
