This song is hot and a smile immediately comes to my face as I'm reminiscing on my youth and growing up with a movie theater in my backyard. I'm immediately thinking of Curtis Mayfield and Isaac Hayes and the true intellect, introspection, grit and honesty that came with their music. Robin Thicke is definitely gifted and continues to develop into one of this era's truly remarkable talents.

Robin Thicke's Magic is two parts pre-Superfly Curtis Mayfield, one part smooth-I-don't-have-to-belt-it Marvin Gaye, and one part 2008 production quality sound. As soon as the sounds of fingers on drum skins and fluttering strings hit your ears, you know you've got an homage to the impeccable soul of the early 70's on your hand. Though the lyrics may not cover some of the popular societal themes of Mayfield and Gaye, its existence alone reminds us that the concepts of soul, humanity, understanding, hope, and God know no racial boundaries. Download it, then get down. Somewhere, Curtis is smiling.

The song Magic is awesome! I purchased the MP3 file, may have to gave and buy the rest!

Robin Thicke has a nice voice and the music in this song is great, but that doesn't change the fact that this song's lacking. The lyrics are kinda just there. It sounds like a song that you can fathom only in your imagination, because it's not realistic..."I can bend metal with my mi-ind." Robin croons.

I never cared for it much and still haven't enjoyed it yet.

This song puts passion back into music! When I first heard it, I didn't know who it was and was hoping the DJ would PLEASE say the artist. You go, Robin!
