4.0 out of 5 stars An excellent little book
An excellent little book. The patterns are large enough to be easily read. The photographs (17 bags) of the finished works are very nice. Designs range from a simple peace sign and some childlike designs to a Japanese crane (back cover, inside photos are all better than the "tapestry" on back cover) that is absolutely gorgeous and simple enough to complete without stress.

1.0 out of 5 stars A waste of time & money!!!
I love books...all kind of books, I buy a couple books a week some better than others. This book was such a disappointment i had to write my first review. I am new to beading and wanted to make amulet bags and thought this would be a perfect book...well i was wrong! the instructions were vague and never complete. Definately not a book for beginners. Once i learned more about beading i reviewed the book again, and realized the book is worse once i knew what i was doing. You can find similar patterns free on the internet and/or youtube (and actually learn how to do it). I hope the auther has someone who hasn't done her designs review any future books before publishing as not to waste the time and money again for uninformed beader/buyer.

I was excited by the patterns in this book and the information on making an amulet bag, as I have never made one and I wanted to learn with many fun patterns to choose from, and this book fits the bill.
