I have been a student of the tarot for the past three years, and have read so many books and how to manuals! Then along comes Michele Morgan's "A Magical Course in Tarot".- And Believe me it truly is magical! The book is at once partly traditional in nature, but totally refreshing because Michele Morgan also offers us a renewed way to view all the traditional attitudes about Tarot, while at the same time allowing and encouraging the reader to experiment and lean toward your own feelings, interpretations and intuition. Reading this book was a liberating experience for me. The expamples and excercises she uses in the book are easy to do and create an interactive tarot card adventure. Most important is Michele's tongue in cheek writing style. Never forcing or overwhelming, she has the ability to laugh at herself, and to be free to explore new territory. She incorporates simple explanations, with an often humorous writing style the reader can easily relate to. The reader will feel as if he knows Michele or would like to meet her. I read this book very quickly because of her writing style, and would highly recommend it to any one interested in the tarot. It doesn't matter if you are an oldie or a newbie. Read this book!

I have been attracted to tarot for many, many years but never could make sense of the booklets that come with the decks or the books you can buy separately. I would do a spread, read the booklet and then say, "ok this makes a little sense, but not much," and put the deck away for another year.

Then along comes this book! Wow, what an eye-opener. Michele Morgan takes the reader on a beautiful journey to their own intuition using tarot. The cards finally make sense because I intrepret them for me, instead of by trying to wade through jumbled meanings, user guidelines, and rules. Everything in the card is looked at to enhance your understanding--colours, numbers, figures, how one card meshes into another--it's brilliant.

It doesn't matter what deck you use--this book is appropriate to all of them, because it teaches you to listen to yourself.

I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting a clear, satisfying, and EASY, tarot reading!

I was fortunate enough to take Michele's Intuitive Tarot class several years ago. It totally freed me do readings intuitively, and as a result , more acurately and with more depth. Her book is just like the class, fun, informative, and easy to understand. It makes her experience and what she has to teach accessible to everyone. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who wants, needs, or is being guided to an understanding of the Tarot beyond 'book learning'.

I absolutely LOVED this book. For years I've tried memorizing the definitions of all the various cards in a tarot deck, and on more than several occasions found myself "looking up" the answers. But since I've read this book I know that the answers are within me and I sometime will check what my intuition says vs. THE DEFINITION and amazingly enough they are nearly EXACT! It is truly amazing how her outlook of tarot has helped me understand it better. Consider this book a way of "fine tuning" your mind so that you may better listen to the powers that be. Read it, then enjoy reading the cards for a change!!

Michele Morgan has created this lovely book with amazing sensitivity, humor, and brilliant insight. She treats her readers with utmost respect, encouraging us to tap into the deep well of guidance and knowledge within. Her contemporary, fresh approach to every aspect of tarot is well grounded in ancient truth. You'll find everything from how to choose and care for your decks to rituals and simple ideas for connecting to their symbolism and imagery. Each card (including the minor arcana) is simply and beautifully illustrated by Rebecca Richards--so beautifully, in fact, that I wish Ms. Morgan and Ms. Richards would create their own original boxed set! This magical and marvelous book is perfect for beginners, and will give seasoned tarot readers (like me) a delightful, poetic journey through this most beloved form of divination. This book has immediately joined my list of all time favorite tarot books!

Michele takes the reader on a magical journey of Tarot. Most books written on Tarot use the same approach and after reading many books one can become confused on what is the real meaning of the cards. It then becomes a game of memorization. The real key is lost that Michele has captured in this book which is using your intuition and unlocking it. She using a delightful, witty approach that leaves one uplifted and ready to pick up any deck and instantly read it with amazing results. Thank you Michele for making the cards come alive. Your passion and dedication is magical.

This is a wonderful book, whether you are a beginner or an experienced reader. The focus on intuition, with examples, enables a reader to make the cards come alive in your hands. The author's wonderful, heartfelt love affair with the magical Tarot comes alive in this book, and inspires the reader to fall in love as well. Highly recommended.

This is really a wonderful book! The best advice I have ever been give came from this book.. and that was simply to NOT look at a traditional tarot book for three months.. to just give the psychic muscles a try. Of course those who study tarot should know the traditional meanings.. but learning to read by memorizing 78 definitions is not only daunting.. but teaches nothings except that you can memorize. This book shows you how to use Tarot as a tool.. and helps you learn to trust yourself and your own intuition.. It makes reading fun!!! It makes you feel as if you can't make a mistake.. It lets your imagination run wild.. I LOVE it!!!

I have been a professional Tarot reader for over sixteen years, and it is rare for me to read books on Tarot. While perusing a page on Amazon of Tarot books, I came across this one and felt instantly drawn to its title. When I received the book and started reading, I found myself enchanted from the first sentence. Ms. Morgan is an excellent writer, presenting her thoughts in a lovely and endearing way. But what I took away from this book was an even deeper appreciation of the power of intuition in Tarot reading and the truly sacred knowledge that the cards can highlight for us. Ms. Morgan's little book re-ignited in me the excitement for Tarot that I haven't felt since I first acquired a deck of cards ages ago. This book can definitely be read and used by anyone interested in Tarot, whether a seasoned practitioner or an absolute beginner. Thank you, Ms. Morgan, for this wonderful book!

For 15 years Tarot was an absolute mystery to me, until somebody told me to stop reading books about tarot and start reading the cards. Michele Morgan is doing exactly the same, and lets me wish I would have read this book 15 years ago. With each step the author not simply how to begin reading the tarot with your own intuition, but also why her advices work. If I had only one sentence to explain this book, this one would it be: Michele Morgan changes every mystic dogma into true fairy magic!
