In this psychological thriller, fourteen-year-old Brit has incredible experiences of extrasensory perception (ESP) including mind reading and clairvoyance. She and her twin brother, Matt, live with their parents in San Francisco. Brit is worried that her visions with voices means she is psycho. She also craves to earn her mother's respect and trust. The twins mistakenly take the wrong bus for school, and end up at a Pharmaceutical Convention. By happenstance, they pick up some magical tablets that can temporarily transform their bodies to either small or big. They use the "big" tablets to have an adult-like, unique adventure when they sneak out of the house one night. Brit uses a "big" tablet to have a secret romantic escapade with a neighbor boy four years older than she at his senior prom. The "small' tablets help Brit escape two harrowing experiences: a break-in when she is home alone; and her actual kidnapping by a predator intending to sexually molest her. Her brother meets an unthinkable tragedy, witnessed by Brit. Her hypnosis and ESP aid police to gain a confession from the revengeful villain, now in prison, with his sights again set on killing her. By clairvoyance, Brit witnesses the culprit's demise at the hands of inmates who are members of the prison "pervert disposal gang." Brit's "magical mind" and romantic heart lead to a startling and thrilling ending.
