i've only been watching anime for about five years now. still catching up on some of the earlier stuff. if it wasn't for the ad-vid notes on this series (think VH1's pop-up) i would have missed a lot of the references. it was funny without them but it's even funnier when you can get all of the inside jokes. it's also one of the few series where i will actually sit through the credit songs. the english voice casting is bang on and let's you focus on the detail of the animation without having to read subtitles. and best of all: it's only 13 episodes! it actually has a satisfying ending. very fun. everyone i have recommended it to has loved the series and some of them have even purchased it after only three episodes.
