Book Description

December 1, 1993
He held the fate of two worlds in his hands... Once he was an orphan called Pug, apprenticed to a sorcerer of the enchanted land of Midkemia.. Then he was captured and enslaved by the Tsurani, a strange, warlike race of invaders from another world. There, in the exotic Empire of Kelewan, he earned a new name--Milamber. He learned to tame the unnimagined powers that lay withing him. And he took his place in an ancient struggle against an evil Enemy older than time itself.

5.0 out of 5 stars Even better!, December 17, 2011
This review is from: Magician, Vol. 2: Master (Mass Market Paperback)
In this sequel to Magician: Apprentice, we begin to see the effects that the great war between worlds is having. Pug, now a slave on Kelewan, has his talent recognized, and he begins his training in the art of magic. Thomas, wearing the armor of the long dead Velheru, Ashen-Shugar, becomes one of the greatest warriors of his age, but at what cost? Both the Tsurani Empire and the Kingdom are cracking under the strain, and it is up to someone to end the war.

This book is a great sequel to Magician: Apprentice, and is even better than that book! This book is sprinkled with high sorcery, fantastic creatures, and exciting battles. If you liked the first book of this series, then you will absolutely love this book! I highly recommend these books to any (and every!) fan of fantasy literature.

5.0 out of 5 stars Once upon a time..., January 22, 2008
This review is from: Magician, Vol. 2: Master (Mass Market Paperback)
It is a joy to revisit this book in my growing library of epic fantasy. Pug follows the typical orphan-becomes-hero archetype, and in doing so becomes the most powerful sorcerer in the known universe.
If you are new to epic fantasy or to Raymond Feist, this is the place to start. You will be drawn in by the cast of characters at Castle Crydee which lies on the edge of the frontier of the Kingdom of Isles. It is a world that is primitive and largely unknown. Magic here is uncommon and subtle at first, but emerges as a threat to the kingdom.

5.0 out of 5 stars GRIPPING, RIVETING, ENTHRALLING, ENCHANTING......, June 28, 2007
This review is from: Magician, Vol. 2: Master (Mass Market Paperback)
Raymond E. Feist created a masterpiece. As soon as I read the first book in this epic I knew I was in trouble. I was so enchanted by Magician: Master that I read it all in less than one day. I couldn't put it down. I totally recommend this book if you love Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. It reads faster than Lord of the Rings and keeps you on the edge of your seat. AWESOME!!!!!
