From another site online I read that "Magicians of Quality" is an omnibus edition including "Sorcery and Cecelia" and its sequel "The Grand Tour".

This book appears to be a retitled version of Sorcery and Cecelia or The Enchanted Chocolate Pot, the original book by the same authors, at least judging by the plot description given. And if it is indeed the same book, just under another name (possibly with the sequel(s) with it?) then I highly recommend it. The writing is witty, the characters fascinating, and the plot fast moving. What really amazes me about this novel is the construction of it - the entire things is a series of letters written by the two main characters, with Wrede taking one and Stevermer taking the other.
The series consists of: Sorcery and Cecelia or The Enchanted Chocolate Pot The Grand Tour The Mislaid Magician or Ten Years After

AKA "Sourcery & Cecila, or the Enchanted Chocolate Pot",
This review is from: Magicians of Quality (Hardcover)
Excellent book (first of a series) written in an interesting letter-style format, though it was previously published under a different name years ago: "Sourcery & Cecila, or the Enchanted Chocolate Pot."
I've never read anything by Wrede I didn't love. |
