While the title may sound goofy, these chants definitely tie into some kind of high power. I wish Buckland had gone into a little more detail--how many times to repeat each chant, do you chant all chants given, can you do two or more different chants at a sitting--and a pronunciation guide or phonetic spellings would have been helpgul. He's style of writing almost makes this sound too good to be true, but it works.

I have had this book for at least 10 years, but started using it two years ago. I am very careful when I use these chants because it does not always come in the form you expect. Some effects are bad and good. I always try to do positive chants because there is Karma and it does come back to you worse than what you put out (it comes quicker with the chants for some reason). My only issue with these chants is that you don't know how things are going to end up once it unfolds -- meaning there is no control over the outcome.

I have done chants for myself to obtain money and for purification of my home. They worked well -- with no problems. I recited a chant to a friend over the phone (because she was looking for a job)and 3 minutes later she received a call from a company she interviewed with 2 weeks prior. She got the job. She had been searching for a job for at least 2 months. That was too ironic.

On the other hand, I used a chant to bring money to another friend (because she was in need) and something negative happened to her. The chant was done with her permission, of course. She ended up getting into a car accident and is now going to sue the person that hit her vehicle. She injured her back in the accident. There were other people in the car with her, but they did not get hurt. So, I refuse to do anything for anyone else unless it is of healing nature.

Now I use with caution. I still love this book a lot. I use it on an as-needed basis -- for healing and purification. Hope this review was helpful to you.

At first sight, this book looks like something you'd find in a bargain bin or clearance section. Whoever wrote this must have some imagination, let alone a twisted sense of humour, right? Well, here's the good part.....IT WORKS!!! This is a healthy skeptic talking now and I don't buy into anything easily, especially if the author is already known. The key words are "Healthy Skepticism" which you need when you review this book. Don't buy it out of desparation, but at the same time don't dismiss it out of ignorance and pride. Keep an open mind and start with a simple chant. Be open if the chant doesn't work right away. Some desires take time to manifest because there are other factors and players involved. Everything is a domino effect. Remember also that we don't always get what we want just because we want it. Sometimes maybe to save us from pain or maybe because there is something better coming. From "my" experiences these chants do work. I've used several already from finding a new job, getting a loan paid back to me, and eliminating negative people. The only main thing this book could use is a rewrite. Some of the chants are hard to pronounce and the procedures could be explained better. I found myself asking "what if" questions a lot, but nevertheless, the chants still worked. So as anyone would say, you be the judge.

I came across this book about 14 or 15 years ago when I was in college and dabbling in Paganism and general occult type stuff. I found it in a used bookstore bargain shelf and thought "Why Not?" Well, this book WORKS!! Talk about a shock!
I remember doing a spell to bring money (I was in college and totally broke as usual in those days!). 3 days after I did the spell, I received a completely unexpected check in the mail from the government for a mistake on my tax return for $50. The odd thing is that I was in a sublet for the summer, so how did they get my correct address?
The book is simple to use and I feel like it just helps to direct your personal power and energy into a deep concentration to help you focus and manifest your desires. Whenever I do a chant, after a little while I can feel myself getting goosebumps, like the air around me is moving. It may be my energy drawing together. Who knows? But with such a funny little name for the book, who would expect that it could help so much?

I've just bought a copy of this book recently but several years back I got the chance to use one of its healing spells and even a few months back. I used it to heal my favorite pet. I got it from a friend who told me of its effectivity. Out of desperation, I used it to heal my pet who was on the brink of death...breathing his last few.Imagine to my surprise, after 10 minutes of chanting, my pet got up and start wagging its tail. I was so amazed at the results! It was also very surprising to learn that an acquaintance of my friend had used some of the spells on his dog...whoa! The dog is still alive after 20 years! Thanks to the vitality chant! (...) In conclusion, I must say that the Latin chants really do work if you put your heart into it! But it has always been my rule of thumb not to harm anyone or do anything only for my sake. Two thumbs up for this book!!!!

This book is written in the same style as Mr. Buckland's other books, freedom is given to the practitioner as to how they are to perform the chants. I had been contacted for a job interview for store manager and decided to perform a chant to obtain a better job. I adapted the ritual a little and performed it twice a day with the companies logo on my altar at all times. Confident, I was interviewed the first time and called back for a second interview and received the job at my requested salary of $35,000/year, no negotiating. It is great, I attribute it all to this book, powerful! Definately a must for any practitioner of magick.

OK--the title's retarded. I purchased it a couple of years ago because it's Raymond Buckland and he has been known to be a good contributor on a variety of topics that interest me.

The first time I used it, I picked a chant to help my spring pollen allergies. It worked quickly. I was amazed.

However, it got placed on a shelf and I forgot it was there...finally, during my annual purging of my bookshelves, I sent my copy to the used bookstore.

This spring, allergies struck again. They were so severe that it sounded like I had bronchitis or the flu. And I found myself thinking, "Now, what was that chant I used that one time?" I did remember the chant and used it. Allergies went away.

I decided to purchase the book again and keep it this time--and explore its other uses.

After purchasing the book TWICE with excellent results, I can safely say I recommend it.

It works, it works, it works! I bought the book recently, tried the "Bring Pressure to Bear" chant, and within one week, results! Can't wait to try more--this book is a must buy!

This is an amazing little book and very well respected in some unofficial circles. It sounds like a bunch of little infomercials the way the stories of other peoples results are written. If you gave the methods an honest few days of effort or so you like me would be won over. I guess what I like about it most is that its like a first aid kit. For me it has been better than a shotgun or an insurance policy for several years. It might not make "sense" logically but these chants work and they work fast!

I bought this book years ago and was very surprised by the results. I did a chant to heal my sick dog and it worked. She got better within days of the chant. I also tried a chant to make myself gain special abilities and it also worked for a time. I gained psychic powers. I had visions of things before they happened. I know that sounds crazy but it's true. To this day, I still have remnants of those abilities. I dont have the book anymore cause I loaned it to a friend and never got it back but I would love to buy it again. It was an amazing book. But be very careful. The chants DO work. So be careful what u are wanting. But I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to get into the arts and make some of their dreams come true. Just be very careful. The only downfall is the pronunciation's arent very good. Some chants are hard to say.
