Great book on new directions in magick,

I love this book.
Let me start by saying I'm partial to anthologies to begin with. I love seeing what other people are doing in areas that I'm interested in, in this case, passionate about. And there's a lot going on in Chaos magick. First, this book avoids one of the big problem I've found in anthologies - a wide range in the quality of the essays. These are all good and I enjoyed reading about areas that I don't have any experience in, in addition to my favorite subjects. And it does one of the best things I think anthologies do - it gives you a lot of knew ideas, first 'hey, I should try that' and then immediately followed by 'if I take what s/he's doing and move this, I can apply it here' These pieces really get the creativity going and the ideas popping. My favorites are Zac Walter's piece on changing his body and creating strength and health and two of the time/space works by Frater Samuel 23 and Frater Andrieh Vitimus. But the whole book has given me ideas for a long time to come.

An Awesome Anthology,
This review is from: Magick on the Edge: Adventures in Experimental Magick (Paperback)
A friend of mine handed me this book after several discussions on the occult and told me to read it; said it'd change the way I looked at magic, and boy did it. This book is far and away one of the most innovative things I've read. The authors and editors have put together a great piece of work here, I highly recommend it; if you're a serious occultist, it belongs on your shelf and is worth several read-throughs.

Definitely one of the best books on magic I've ever read - certainly the best in a while. If you're looking for something to take you in a new direction, give you new ideas, and let your magic evolve - then this is it.
