I picked up this cd in Amsterdam three years ago after browsing some techno cd's in a record shop. It is simply my favorite cd ever, and the only 1 that I have never gotten tired of (I usually get tired of trance songs very quickly) After this cd I have fallen in love with DJ Tiesto.

This is it...probably one of the best mixes ever to be captured on one cd. This magik mix, the first of many, is what sets Tiesto apart from the rest of the pack. Nobody, not even Paul Van Dyk, Oakenfold, or Armin van Buuren, NOBODY can mix, produce, or simply pick good tunes like DJ Tiesto.

From the minute you put this in your cd-rom drive, you will be mesmerized, at times to the point where you will want to get off your seat and dance...it is THAT good. The vocals, harmonies, and beats of each song are so well-coordinated into one continuous sound that you will swear this was mixed digitally and not by mere hands. Magik is certainly an appropriate name for this album because there was definitely a good amount of it utilized in the inception of this mix.

No matter how much criticism Tiesto receives or how bad any of his recent sets may have been in the eyes of those resentful of his popularity and success, he will always be #1, simply for this mix alone.

Dj Tiesto is a dutch men and he is extremely populair in Europe. Now it's the turn of America to discover him as the best dj who bring you to a world full of dreams and thoughts.

This is Tiesto's first Magik and his best Magik because he creates a very atmospheric world ful of beautifal epic dreamy melodies.When you listenen to it just close your eyes and let you go to the wonderful world that Tiesto shape.

I've had this album for a long time, but just now got around to writing a review because I'm trying to put off writing an essay. Yeah, well this is de album that is a historic monument in my opinion. With great tracks like Healing Dream by Sunday Club this album takes u on a different kind of journey than the current sound of Tiesto. Featuring several different styles including progressive sounds with some techno roots, dreamy trance, and also some chill songs. It even is dairy-free (that means there's no cheese). What more could u ask?? Oh so u ask about mixing. You idiot of course it's nearly flawless! A must for any Tiesto fan. A must for any trance lover. A must have introduction to trance for those just getting into the genre.

This first disk in the Magik series by DJ Tiesto is amazing. This work truly shows the talent that DJ Tiesto has. There is an evident amount of originality that DJ Tiesto shows on this disk. Any fan of trance will appreciate this cd. Buy it now and you will NOT be disappointed.

If you like the ISOS series then get this as an early banging trance prequel to the more modern masterpieces from Tiesto. It is not Tiesto at his best but a must if you like the ISOS series and beyond.

This is simply a classic Tiesto production. Beautifully crafted with the utmost attention paid to the melding of one track to the next. This is a flippin' clinic for trance dj's aspiring for greatness. Tiesto is frankly the Illest dj in the world and i honestly don't see a changing of the guard anyime soon. This cd is for real...(even if you lose touch with reality over the course of it's dissemination). After all, (this is a trip mind you), you will return to earth surely appreciative. More trance appropriation of Tiesto fascination in the nation. With or without self medication. SEA-YAS BINNESS FO SHO.

I love this album. Magik 1 paves the way for all the other great magik albums. Dj Tiesto is a GOD! I have a question though. Who does "Into the Sun"? I love that song and I don't know the artist!
