I bought the e-version of this program a year ago for 39.99 and it is fantastic! I started out with audio studio 5 generation and upgraded to this. It has many of the features from Magix' pro series Samplitude and Sequoia but at an incredibly affordable price. I found it easier to use than similar programs like cakewalk and pro tools lite, plus it has more tracks than those two programs. I definitely recommend buying if you are on a budget but want a very functional recording studio on your computer.

This is a great product for the money. The interface is easy to learn, it has a very good variety of voices, it makes it easy to unite midi voices with vocals or amplified instruments, and it doesn't require an expensive soundcard to do it. It's easy to edit what you've recorded, adding or joining tracts, removing sections, changing voices, copying sections, etc. I have Cakewalk and Samplitude products and always come back to Music Studio. It's easy, diverse, and just fun to play with.

I purchased this for a very techno-savy teen, she hated it. This product was too difficult and cumbersome for her to use and it has sat in the box unused for years.

This turned out to be an incompatible program for the new Vista ready and Vista computers. I installed it in my new laptop and it totally blue screen crashed. Luckily, I didn't have much in it and we were able to get it back with a factory install.

I understand there is a more updated version out there, but excuse me if I am a little leary of it.
