Create your own music, videos, and Web sites with Music Maker 7.0. Choose from a broad variety of music styles, and combine sound and video elements via the easy-to-use drag-and-drop interface. Add special effects, fine-tune, and then post your creations on your own personal Web site.

You'll have lots of professional effects at your disposal to help create the right grooves: echo, reverb, 10-band EQ, pitch shifting, time stretching, stereo FX, distortion, filter, and compressor. The 3-D sound effect creates a magnificent cinema sound. Vocals, sounds, and live instruments can be directly recorded and edited. The karaoke function lets you filter out original vocals and dub in sing-along lyrics. Automatic remix revolutionizes the recycling of CD tracks and MP3 files. Each song is broken up by beats into single components; put them back together in new sequences, add loops, and your own mix is done.

Use the provided files or integrate your own clips to create videos. Video Controller lets you easily program your own individual video effects. There are 39 different function buttons to explore and 600 effect presets.

To create your own Web site, choose one of the 34 available templates, insert your song, add text and videos, and share your site with your friends. In online sessions, you and your friends can get together and arrange, chat, and swap files. The huge Magix online archive offers you the latest sounds for free. In the new Magix Web publishing area you can present your own masterpiece and compete with others on the Magix Web charts. Now with photos, biographies, lyrics, and more.

I just got this yesterday and only ran the tutorial. I haven't even read the manual completely, but decided to give it a shot. It's SO EASY to drop in bass lines, drums, guitars, sound FX, song bytes, etc. and my first attempt at a song sounded GREAT! My kids said it sounded like something that could very easily be playing on the radio right now! I can't wait to learn more about this program to fine tune our songs even more. It's fantastic, simple to use, and allows you to create terrific sounding music just by dragging and dropping. EXCELLENT PRODUCT!

I purchased this SW after trying the demo of Magix's UK Dance Edition SW. MusicMaker 7 is very easy to use, the menu items in the program are arranged in a very logical, yet intuitive fashion.

Help files included with the program are very well written and, unlike all too many programs today, actually answer real, practical questions that arise when one is learning to use the SW.

This program is packed with functionality,an easy to use interface and makes the creative process the focus rather than having to struggle with arcane command/menu sets.

The included video and audio samples are of very good quality; if one is a beginner, like me, you can wax creative for some time to come without having to buy any more samples CDs.

Try it, you will like it!

when i bought this (march 2003) it was $20, but now it's only $10. i thought it was good for the price when it was $20. so it's a REALLY good deal right now. it is an excellent software with plenty of useful features, and for this price, the best in the league. very easy to use; all you need is a mic and your set to go. this is really good for a beginner to just get into making songs. for $10, this is a MUST. great program, and works fine without clogging up the computer. obviously this isn't as good as a professional program like ACID PRO 4.0, but it's almost ridiculously how little difference there is for amateurs. all in all, great software, and i recommend it for everyone.
