Magix Music Studio Generation 6 software brings a complete recording studio to your desktop. Compose, arrange, record, edit, and master your own projects. A new 256-track integrated MIDI sequencer and three virtual instruments let you compose and edit MIDI files, as well as record on up to 24 digital-stereo tracks. FTP download capabilities let you add Internet music files and MP3s to your work. When you're done, post your finished productions directly to the Magix Web publishing site for free.

Choose from 24 digital-audio tracks for live instruments, songs, samples, and more. Add original sound effects with a sound card or MIDI appliances such as keyboards. Real-time effects like reverb, delay, distortion, draft filter, lo-fi, and more make for unique audio. Matrix, drum, and score editors let your edit your tracks in detail. You can also take clips from the MIDI studio and edit them in the audio studio, or import files from the audio studio into the MIDI studio.

Open a world of sound with over 600 included samples, along with low-pass filters, vibrator, editable envelopes, overdrive, chorus, and more. With up to eight voices each, five waveforms let you create a range of sounds. Magix Percussor delivers percussive sounds, and its synthesizer has lots of pressure. Carpet Sweeper brings warm-pad sounds with three stages. This program also easily integrates and synchronizes AVI files, while Wave Player lets you play samples as instruments.

Music Studio Generation 6 records sounds in WAV format. Create reverb, delay, surround sound, parametric frequency editing, and a range of real-time audio effects. Use stereo enhancer, normalizer, time stretching, and pitch shifting tools to optimize sounds and build loops. A convenient 24-channel professional mixer offers panorama, parametric three-band EQ, dynamics, effect modes, and more. DirectX support easily integrates external effects. Import and export WAV, WAV with Codec, MPEG, MP3, and MIDI files (GM, GS, and XG), and export songs to Magix playR.

This Program is excellent for the audio studio professional, but not very practical for the first time studio user. I't contains virtual dynamic studio instuments that seem state of the art. An excellent tool for the aspireing beat-maker or taylored musician, but if your a first timer like myself, you have to have lots of patience..

during the last ten years i have suffered thru the evolution of computer music creation from the heights of atari 1040ST sequencers...cubasis...cakewalk...and now Music Studio Gen6...it is well worth the wait!!
installs soooo quick, is extremely intuitive, and the manual is only surpassed by the even handier on-screen help file.
the screens are adaptable as are the key commands...very, very user-friendly!
anyway, must get back to it...is there any better recommendation that you need-----try it, you'll like it!

I have been pulling my hair out for the past several days, after installing this program. My husbank and I are first-time home studio/computer recording and song writing, after many years of using acutal mixing boards. This program has been REALLY difficult to figure out. There's no tech help in the U.S.(you have to call an international number ), and the manual reads like "Greek". The aggrivation of trying to trouble shoot has cut drastically into our creativity. This has NOT been fun!
