Easy set up for this non tech person -set up took about 15 minutes. Picture and sound are of excellent quality. I purchased this brand as I have another Magnavox in the bedroom which has lasted 15 years and never had a problem with it. Don't hesitate to buy this product--it's worth every penny. Super fast delivery also.

This is a television for use in my workroom and I am very pleased with the ease of setup. So far everything is working great, it's just what I wanted and at an affordable price. It seems the TV/DVD combo is becoming a thing of the past. Too bad because it is convenient and a great space saver.

This is a strong TV that doesn't take up a lot of space but delivers a strong picture. It's an easy setup and real easy to get the hang of. My husband and I normally watch tv in our bedroom if we are by ourselves but its a good tv that doesn't take up a lot of space but our friends can still come over and watch a game.

Nice to have a TV with DVD player built in! Lightweight and easy to install. The picture quality is good and DVD player works well.

We had this television for 7months before the mother board went out.... We are now getting it repaired for $140.00 for the labor.. Magnavox will cover the cost of the defective part. If you purchase this product make sure to buy the extended warranty. Our television didn't even have 30 hours on it before it broke.

I bought this set to replace an older 25in TV. It was easy to set up and use. After reading the instructions on what to expect from the picture, ie: there will be a wide black band down either side of the picture if you don't use the format button on the remote to stretch (widen) or zoom the picture. The reason being: the image coming to the tv from the cable feed is 16:9 (a measure of length to width). When stretched, you do lose a little clarity but, it is very minor and difficult to distinguish from 10 feet (or so) away. The DVD player works just fine. A good value for the cost ($359.00 + tax) on sale).

Received the TV in the promised range of delivery but upon opening the box , I discovered the four screws to hold the TV to the base and the included batteries were nowhere to be found. When I called Magnavox I was told they would not send the batteries and I should take that complaint to where I bought the TV from: Amazon. Never contacted Amazon about it, I had some spare ones in the house. But I wanted the screws from Magnavox (Funai Company)and after the initial call I was directed to call the Parts Dept the following day. Next day I called the parts dept and was told I needed to send by email or fax a copy of the receipt to verify it was within the warranty time. So it cost me nearly three dollars to fax from FedEx the warranty and the screws arrived in about 3 business days. Finally I could test the TV. So far it is in fine working condition but I only use it sparingly as it is in the bedroom. I am having some issues with channel selection but I think it has to do with Dish Network. I will be contacting them soon too. Overall, the television is performing just fine. I've played a DVD and it works great. The sound is much better than I expected so I'm happy about that. I don't use the HDMI ports on the TV of for gaming purposes so I can't comment on that. Other than missing items I'd recommend this TV.

i bought this TV with built-in dvd as an extra TV for the family room. i was a little hesitant because Magnavox is not a top rated brand in Consumer Reports, but i have been exceptionally pleased so far. the tv picture is excellent even though it is only 720p; it was the easiest TV i have every owned to install ... it look all of five minutes from when i plugged it in until it was working properly. the dvd works very were well too. Let's here it for a good value/bargain!

This arrived safely in a sturdy box, which unfortunately has a GIANT photo of the TV on the outside. UPS couldn't leave the package by my front door safely because I wasn't home- I mean, you might as well be standing next to the package shouting "Free TV!!" if they just left it on the doorstep lol. After picking this up from the UPS depot, I got it home & set it up. Instructions were pretty easy to follow (I'm not a techy person at all) and the base had a helpful arrow showing which direction to face it before screwing it into the TV. Got it connected to cable and set up the channels just fine. Had to play with the format a bit to get the picture the way I wanted it, but nothing major. Tested the DVD player last night and other than being a bit noisy while cycling through the menu/ previews, it played just fine. All in all, a great set for the money & perfect replacement for my old bedroom TV. Only complaint so far is that compared to my Vizio Razor in the living room, the design of this TV looks kinda old fashioned- reminds me of the design of our TV in the 80's lol.

Little by little I'm replacing our old style televisions to the LCD models. All our old ones still work but the hook up and capability of the newer televisions is so much better. I chose a Magnavox model because we have never had any problems with any of our old models. After twenty to twenty five years, they still work great. Sometimes, when I'm reading a negative review and something goes wrong...I think it has more to do with the delivery of the order. My delivery's arrive in great shape, thank goodness. When electronic orders get tossed around or carelessly packaged...damage can occur. I guess there is the exception. This tv is everything I expected. I removed it from the box, screwed in the four screws that hold the base, plugged it in and plugged it into the cable plug. Note: the cable plug does not come with this tv...just the regular wall plug, remote, batteries and booklet.

Last: I think it takes a lot of guts for sites to let people review products. If the product is a winner it will be available, if it receives to many bad reviews it should be dropped. I hope this was helpful.
