5.0 out of 5 stars Excellant product for non tech savy people, May 27, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Magnavox MWR20V6 DVD Recorder/VCR Combo (Electronics)
I purchased this VCR/DVD combo to replace the exact model I had because I wanted a product I already knew how to use. I am not tech savy but I was able to always use this one with all it's fuctions even to record DVDS. The manual is also a little easier to understand than most. This model already has a tuner and you can hook it up to your existing cable without having to have a seperate tuner or using line in recording to use the VCR or watch your tapes or DVDs. It has in line but I have never used it so I can't comment on it. I have expanded cable with coxial hookup, so I am able to record one program and watch another which is another plus for me. I got the product almost a week before it was suppose to arrive and everything was with it that I had it hooked up in minutes. It was well packaged and didn't bust my budget like a DVD recorder with a digital tuner would have for me to be able to use. I was glad to find this model because it is rare to find as it's about 2 years old.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good VCR/DVD recorder, May 6, 2010

This review is from: Magnavox MWR20V6 DVD Recorder/VCR Combo (Electronics)
So far I am very happy with the recorder. This is my second one. With the first one I had trouble with the VCR portion of the machine, though the DVD recorder still works. Anyway when I had to purchase another VCR recorder, it was impossible to find one on the market that was inexpensive and had a built in tuner. All of the ones with tuners were running over 250 dollars. I'm of the age when you could buy a VCR recorder and DVD player with a built in tuner for 90 dollars but now with DVR's (that require a monthly fee) I have found that VCR/DVDs with tuners have skyrocketed in their prices. Well I was able to buy this Magnovox refurbished for 60 bucks, which I feel is a good deal. I may end up having problems with the VCR portion again but so far everything is going well . And you can't beat the price. Also dubbing from your VCR to DVD is a piece of cake.
