MagneStix is a collection of magnetic sticks and metallic spheres that can be used to build structures like bridges, towers, houses, geometrical models, architectural models, chemistry models, etc. It is a fantastic toy to promote children's creativity. Your children will spend hours building with Magnestix.
You get 30 plastic coated magnetic bars and 12 steel balls in each set that create a wonderful stress reliever. Since the steel balls are round, connections can be multi-directional. The magnets are extremely strong and the designs you can create are endless. If you shop around be careful, make sure you get the plastic bars that have a steel rod all the way through (like MagneStix) not just at the tips.
This package contains 300 rods, 120 metallic spheres, and an instruction manual that illustrates different structures that you can build with MagneStix. Each rod is 1" inches long and are yellow, red and green, silver metallic. Each 42 piece set is in a nice storage case.

Magnets are week, just strong enough, but your sculpture will be delicate.
Permanent container boxes are very brittle, and several were broken on arrival.
Magnet balls chrome was already flaking off before opening the package.
Magnet Sticks- cheap cracked plastic on many.
Actual magnets - several are crushed and are magnet dust.
Your hands smell like metal after a short play time.
Hopefully there isn't anything toxic in these.

I got these after playing with Geomags brand toy (basically the same toy) But Geomags are expensive, so this one stood out since it looks pretty much the same but is much cheaper for the number of pieces. Bottom line..they work but go for the better quality brands if you can. But these are workable if you are on a tight budget. Bonus, we feel freer playing with these since we don't care if they break or get lost.

Gave 10 sets of these to my son on his birthday. He's loves them and plays with them all the time. I actually love tinkering with them too and I'm 44 (LOL!)
