Zero to Six Bars in Eight Seconds,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Magnet Mount Antenna kit for Audiovox, LG, Motorola (Wireless Phone Accessory)
This antenna is much smaller than it looks in the ad but it packs a wallop. I parked in a dead zone where Verizon was showing between no service and one antenna bar. When I plugged in the external antenna it got six bars. This will be very helpful on those long trips through low-coverage Oregon, where it's Highway 5 or nothing.
The trick will be finding a phone with a sturdy enough external antenna connector to withstand the pressure of frequent use. There are two drawbacks that have more to do with the LG VX3200 than with this external antenna: Because LG doesn't make an external antenna for use with their VX3200, using one from any other manufacturer voids the warranty on the phone. The second drawback is that the LG's external phone connector is weakly soldered to the circuit board. Your first attempt at plugging in the external antenna could break the connection to the phone's internal antenna, rendering the LG VX3200 useless without the external antenna. After breaking my phone's internal connection, I took it to Verizon, who wouldn't exchange it, claiming water damage. LG, however, exchanged it for a new one within three weeks.

Great Idea, Inferior Quality,
This review is from: Magnet Mount Antenna kit for Audiovox, LG, Motorola (Wireless Phone Accessory)
The antenna worked wonders for about 2 weeks. I had 3 bars of signal in an otherwise "no bar zone." After awhile, it completely died, leaving me with "Searching For Service" if I plugged it into my phone's external antenna jack. When it works, its great! But the quality of the product is severly lacking. I'd STRONGLY recommend buying some other external antenna.

How does it fit?,
This review is from: Magnet Mount Antenna kit for Audiovox, LG, Motorola (Wireless Phone Accessory)
For the life of me, I can't figure out how this is supposed to hook up to a V300 or V330. Anyone have any ideas?
